I agree, evenwith my "Russian bias", that her score is fine with what Liza did if you compare their scores

To be fair, it was a much better FS than she had at CoR, and she scored 58 there.

But relative to what Tukt got for a similar performance. I don't think she was that more expressive than Tukt. The edge in TR and SS I can understand.

I think Kim or Kostner are going to need to shoot for a score over 140 to win, especialy Kostner coming from behind on Kim a bit. I think we will see lots of big scores now.

Ziggy has a point. Gracie needs a better choreographer, period. But that was magnificent, nonetheless.

I agree. I don't think her issue with the technique rather, she needs to amp up the choreography and mature her image a bit. I wonder if this wasn't the year to do it...may be a bit risky to do it in an Olympic year. All and all, I am pleased with her.

A really impressive and meaningful skate from Gracie. Now if she can learn how to break to the lead early (eg in the SP) she will be a real force to be reckoned with.

Gracie's performance was hugely improved. It was so nice to see her face going through the emotions of the music. If she'd only landed that 3-3 clean...

I know the rink is small, but it's crazy how the skaters are hugging the boards; they are practically giving the audience high fives every time they go by. Must be a skater thing; if I were a skater I'd do all my jumps in the middle of the rink.

that is hard to do because you need the speed going into many of the jumps, especially combinations
