Murakami will take over as Japanese number 2 next year (or 1 if Mao doesnt hold up). She is finally coming into her own and the JSF has always been high on her potential. Suzuki might be in a fight to keep her spot on the Olympic team (I am assuming Japan has 3 spots, but I guess even that isnt a mortal guarantee yet).

125 and she threw away around 8 points on GOE. Shows you what kind of score she could generate, which is a bit sad since the only thing that program had was some big jumps and a couple of decent spins.

Yes. The only thing Gold should be remotely close to Suzuki on in PCS land is SS. She has very strong basic SS and there is no denying it. The rest though it total crap next to Akiko.

Gold did significantly better than the piece of crap Akiko just showed.
Akiko should get 4 for P/E and maybe 6-7 for IN and CH. It was the worst of the bunch so far. Sorry, she's normally a great performer, but tonight, she was absolutely terrible.

Speed does matter. Tuk has the jumps but her lack of ice coverage hurts her a bit.

I TOTALLY AGREE. Suzuki's program was magical and beautiful and was crafted to have an ethereal quality (which it did, bar the mistakes).
