Ladies skating matters to americans. They are also the biggest viewing audience in the world, and the summer games timetables were designed to facilitate American advertisers. I think it's clear that the IOC will do anything to get the biggest American audience possible......that requires three ladies and some success at these worlds. Gold didnt actually have a program TBH.
