2014-2015 GP Predictions game, Round 6: NHK Trophy

"Placeholder" posts? These are just plain silly.

If you can't remember which page your predictions are on (seriously?! O_o)... and click the link for it at the top/bottom of each page in the thread... then you can simply bookmark the page in your browser.

Better still, the post number on the right hand side of the title bar of your post (eg. this post is #19).. is a direct link to your post within the page. Bookmark that, and you can go directly to your post, without even having to scroll down the page.

I think many use placeholder posts, including me, when they only have partial predictions but want to get them written down while those predictions are fresh.

And then the post is edited overtime as other predictions are ready.

I was refering to the posts that have nothing in them, other than something like "placeholder, so my predictions are on page 1" with "it's easier for me to find" often given as a reason... for example:

Place holder for page 1! Hopelessly adicted:laugh2:
There have been many others, here and in the other prediction threads - but most are now "filled in" of course.

Eh, I don't see the fuss. Fwiw, having a placeholder is a nice visual reminder for some to do them also.

You don't see the fuss, because there IS no fuss!

For those who want to find their post quickly, but can't remember a page number... I offered an alternative solution, in case they are too late to put a placeholder on page 1. There is a limit to the number of posts that can be on page 1 after all...!

And I note that a bookmark direct to your post is faster, even if you are on page 1...!

Personally, I manage just fine no matter what page my post is on.

It serves the exact same purpose whether someone writes predictions for one discipline, predictions for all the disciplines, or no predictions at all, as long as they get filled in the end (or even if they don't, I mean... it really doesn't matter). Anyway, it's obviously not something worth getting worked up over.

Actual question: has there been any update about Joshua Farris's condition? I was mistakenly under the impression that he withdrew from NHK but it was only CoC, right?

You are just jealous you did not get the first page!:drama::laugh2: Lighten up, it is not a violation:slink:

Um, actually I am on the first page :-P Not that it matters any to me (I probably should have waited a bit, to give people who DO think first page is important, more of a chance).

And the only person mentioning "violation"... is you...!
