Love this abbreviated version! Disagree with Johnny W here saying it was performed like a new program. Every element flowed together.

On a different note, Stolbova/Klimov looked TERRIFIED before starting their program. 'Ouch, they're really gonna bomb.' I thought.

And then, they gave this unbelievably incredible performance that took the roof off. Their PCS did benefit from 'Home Advantage Inflation' (tm) somewhat but you just couldn't fault their elements. I had them on +2s for most and you know how much of a stickler I usually am.

It's funny how Mozer never had any successful senior teams before V/T. And now she has top 3 Russian teams and under her and Zhovirnski's tutelage, S/K have both improved massively and became consistent.

I don't really like them but they got a triple twist just in couple of months. They only did double twist at Skate America and after that their twist improved every competition.

Yeah I also have to hand it to them. I don't like them and am not sure I ever really will but their progress is incredible and undeniable. They seem to have gotten much more consistent over the course of this season too, and they tend to have big, clean elements now (including the triple twist, which, while it still needs work, is TONS better than it was). Hats off to them.

I don't find V/T as wonderful as most and felt they were tight throughout the entire performance but no one had more pressure than them and I'm delighted for them to have skated cleanly, I can't imagine what it would have felt like to let Russia down.
