Not a great skate for him.

and I don't like the jazzy big band finish. It interferes with my memory of this being a slow, pretty, romantic piece of music.

I like the attention to detail in Stephen's program. However it feels like it needs to build, and it really doesn't have that feeling for me. I sure do appreciate the attention to detail though.

I think Carriere could have improved this program a bit by skating a tad differently in the 2nd part of program especially when the vocal bit come up. Sell and finish the choreography a bit more, play with languidity with the way Armstrong sing his song. Bit lazier and playful with how he finish his moves and pause between them.

I feel the whole thing seems a bit tense this time round.

I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed Righini. I mean... MJ with lyrics!? But MJ is one of the few pieces of music that (imo) works with COP footwork, with the varied turns.
