Let me start with the caveat that I know the Olympics are a unique pressure cooker.... However, I do wonder: Could the general warmth/support of the Japanese audience versus the Russian-centric Sochi audience be a factor in why we're seeing such dazzling skating today?

Carolina was stunning, ethereal, transcendent, and so free. I don't think I've ever seen her skate in that way. Such warmth and capacity of soul. WOW
