So nervous. So glad it's the last competition of the season. Glad everyone is skating well! Veterans Akiko and Carolina were beautiful!
Gracie I still find underwhelming but I'm the first to admit I'm biased. But that 3L had a two-foot, right (they didn't show the slow-mo)? (Because everyone is so keen to point out Ashley's )

If it is inflation overall (which I don't think it is--compare the Sochi SPs with the ones here and try to defend that silly assertion), then that's rather fair, isn't it, since one national group of skaters isn't being unfairly advantaged over everyone else.

I think she will be very close but the judges will try. The thing is one of the Sochi Ladies judge is here, Zanna Kulik of Estonia. She will likely to get called for her flutz.

Are they strict with the calling today? They seem to be with Kanako.

I was very impressed that Caro's score was so close to Mao's - in Japan! - and that Kanako received such a low score. It doesn't seem that there's home advantage, and since nearly everyone is skating better here than Sochi, I wouldn't call it inflation, per se.

Solid effort, but those small mistakes add up. In this field she cannot afford mistakes

SP: 30.84+32.80 = 63.64, in 6th (out of 28)

Kostner must have gotten an average of at least 9.5 to get those kinds of PCS. Complete utter BS! The Japanese crowd muted their applause when they saw the score of Kostner. She should not have cleared 75 for that program. Her Sochi score was already generously scored now they add 3 points to it.

I do think she deserves higher PCS than Gracie, but those little mistakes always work against her
