Great Britain's Amani Famcy and Chris Boyadji are replacing V/T

They are having a big turn around.
From spliiting up at Nebelhorn, to reconciling, to bronze at the tallinn trophy to now a grand prix assignment.
I was very sad to hear about the injury happy for the Brits though - how nice for them (though it is kind of like replacing a Rolls Royce with a used Ford Escort - not to be mean but what a thrill for the brits. I really hope this push for more difficult moves has caused problem or injuries. that being said sui and han and the germans can now capitalize and win world titles. Still one hopes V and T will make an epic return.

Well one less person to beat Chan for GPF, lol. But  for Jason. I hope he is OK or if he's not that he recovers in time for nationals.

Huh, why such maliciousness OR why make such a out there comment. This has nothing to do with Chan. I hope Jason recovers well like v and t and the rest. But I am wondering if pushing the envelope is causing some of these injuries.

Apologies for the lack of emoticons. It was meant as a joke.

But in all seriousness, Jason, with a bronze medal, could have beat Chan's GP points (depending on how things go) by finishing second. So with Jason out, that is one less person who can pass him. Not meant to insult Chan. Just what it is.

Sad that Brown has withdrawn, but on the other hand it' s highly unlikely that he would have made the GPF. After all it´s an event with e.g. Hanyu, Kovtun, Jin and Mura, etc. Yeah, I know that Mura was only 10th at SA, but it does not mean he would be as obliging on his home ice, LOL.

I agree the chances were slim, but then again did anyone expect Ross Miner to get bronze this week? And Jason already beat Mura at Skate America and beat Kovtun at Worlds last year. But of course, only a healthy Jason could surprise.

Just realized, we are going to be in for a serious quad-fest at NHK, let's hope everyone is successful and there is not too much splatting.

Jin-6 Quads
Kovtun-4-5 quads
Yuzu 4 quads
Mura 3 quads

But most likely, out of those 17-18 quads, 8-10 are a sure splat =(

This is going to be a very tough field for Brendan. He has nothing to lose, and all to gain- so i wish him the best and hope he punches above his weight. Send a message that he can do it.

They should dump Liza's scores at TEB and have her replace Mae  :drama:

With the timing of Russian Nationals, it may be better for Liza and some of the other ladies to have the extra time to prepare, otherwise it is a really short turnaround between GPF and Nationals. If only 2 Russian girls are in the GPF, I don't think not making it will be a huge factor since there are 3 spots on the Euros and Worlds teams.

With the Quadmeisters on sites, I think everyone will get extra inspired. It will be a fantastic competition.... Yuzu will thrive off the home coming crowd with a fantastic FS that rival Patricks at SC, I can feel it time warped all the way from here.

It makes sense for Brendan to get NHK. He was one of two who could get there in time. The other was Michael Christian Martinez.
