2016-17 Russian Qualifiers and other events

Popova/Mozgov withdrew. Does it mean that they are out of nationals, or will they be allowed to attend another russian cup (their third event)? I was under the impression that they are only allowed to compete in two, and if someone attends third one, it is not counted towards their qualification for nationals.

I thought they could do 3, just only 2 counted.
So they could to the 5th event.

That depend which events would count. Only very, veery rarely someone does three, and usually the first two count. Otherwise everyone would be doing three events if it would be the best that count.

1 Vladimir Samoilov 75.73
2 Alexey Erokhov 74.01
3 Anton Shulepov 73.28
4 Paul Blizzard 72.79
5 Andrew Lazukin 66.96
6 Ilya Karpov 46.33
Paul Blizzard  It's actually Pavel Vyugov. I wonder why it doesn't then translate Karpov as "Carp".
Poor Lazukin with his wonderful lines. I wish he landed his jumps more than once a couple of seasons.

Sofia is taking some cues from Evgenia. An element on out of every jump. Same element every time though, but it's a start. And she was already doing an assortment of difficult entries and tanos since the beginning of the season. If she works on her flow and incorporates those elements into logic of her programs better, she might become a real force to be reckoned with. It's funny how fast she's progressing even though nobody would bet on her even a year ago. Shame her marks were murdered by the judges at JGP. Hopefully she's luckier with JGP event selection next time around.
