I don't know why they always get low scores, but I very like their deep edges in the second half of this program.

I don't think they got low scores this season, they were third in both their JGP events, which is very good for such a young team.
Hope so. But I looked here, these days there is a some tournament in Russia. Even there they are third after the short program. But at least they have highest PCS.
It's a local competition at the end of the season... I don't think it matters so much.
The test skate will be key for next season JGP assignments. And with juniors you never know how they'll progress over summer.

When they see what is being done in Detroit and Canada I wonder why can't get they go on some kind of strike! Why aren't the skaters doing anything?

I like them and Ivanenko/Karpov too. Considering their age (14/16) it is good. Just for her skating style I thought they are Kustarova team. Because her posture, shoulder line and flailing limbs remind me junior Bobrova and Sinitsina. But she is just 14 so it could be from fast growing. Gorshkov coached one of my favorite technicians Domnina&Shabalin and I always like Monko Tkachenko as well.( I dont like Kosigina/Moroshkin much but their junior Waltz debut was nice) His teams usually skates very beautiful way. She is not usual Gorshkov girl. Tech side their speed and ice covarage is good for their age. Good curves on turns,visible edges, Free dance music could have been disaster but they sell energetic way, no dramatic faces which I really really like. What I dont like about ve them is her posture, uncontrolled limbs and ugly knee bend and he is little bit bland. But again they are just childrens, novice age. They can improve some things simply by growing. And they are working with coach who can help them. I'm still suprised she never coached by Kustarova. Their ISU profile only list Gorshkov. Ohh, nooo.. Ivanenko/Karpov are so boring and bland... I cannot follow them the entire program seriously :shocked:
Ushakova and Nekrasov are at least memorable and show some personality outhere:agree:

Ivanenko/Karpov`s ISU bio lists Ivan Lobanov as their coach. There was a video from Tallinn which showed him with Kustarova and Alekseeva during I/Z`s skate. I don`t know if he maybe joined their training group, but it looks like Kustarova is somehow involved in their training, since she was also in the KnC at Russian Junior Nats.
I think that Ivanenko/Karpov moved with Lobanov in Kustarova's team.
I personally like Andreeva/ Desyatov. I feel potential for drama and sparkle over there lol.

Don't know for sure. Zhulin and Petukhov are listed as "Choreographers" (http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00102241.htm; 13:39, 3.4.2017), only Petukhov as responsible for Bobrova/Soloviev.
Oh well. Hurtado/Khaliavin are going in that direction. I would watch the Montreal - school VERY often ... P/C is a special team, but why not try to learn from them, from their way of integrating elements ... H/D would have been a secure third without that error, they are not considered to be an exceptional team like V/M and P/C per se, so Montréal is spot on.
B/S looked good at Europeans, but in Helsinki the programme stood out in a way really not positive. Trying to be stylish while being old fashioned is, given posture issues, not the best idea. Karenina worked much better for them. Dramatic style, not lyrical, is their kind of thing; it would be unwise to try to copy P/C. But one could take ceratin parts of the winning package helping your own thing.
Don't know about "re - skating" other programs in training during off - season. Just as a challenge. Doing things not so comfortable. Especially twizzles and step sequences. Singles is a different story, although single skaters recently use choreographers with a "dance - background" quite successfully (Medvedeva! Sotnokova! Stolbova/Klimov with Yuri Smekalov), but there it seems common to do more in practice/the warmup than in the actual program (Zagitova, for examplehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5VR9u9w2eQ; 13:59, 3.4.2017) - so: why not skating a "Montreal - program" to widen horizons?
The program of B/S was in the second half kind of a repetition of the crashed program for Sochi. Without skaters being able of making EVERY programm a success that couldn't be a winning idea. Time for some new ideas. And being ready in TIME. No reason why other teams can show up prepared in late summer and Russian teams cannot. ONEGIN would be a great choice for B/S. Dramatic AND balletic. They could get advice (the Bolshoi - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sePb2eKJtiw; 14:11, 3.4.2017.), beginning with posture. They are hardworking and committed and deserve a better package.

I always feel like there's someone trying to f* up the programs in Zhulin's camp - and it could be Zhulin himself - because I still remember the first birds FS for Bobrova and Soloviev back in 2013, and it was a good program, with the makings of a serious contender for the podium, but then I don't know why they just decided to dump that one and come up with the second bird program, which is better left in the past. I don't have much problems with the FD this year, although I would like to see something more cohesive. If the second half of their FD was to another song, I think it would be a lot more popular, but alas, it's not like they are trying that hard to be liked by the judges, haha.
However, I don't know how I feel about Onegin. Especially if they went the musical route. For me, Zhulin could channel his old self and put them skating to Carmen, seriously. They have the personality to pull it off. I think these two need to go a bit out there, because trying their way onto the Montreal Mush is not really the best way to stood out.

They did Carmen for the SD in 2014/15 - obviously never in competition because of his injury, but the version I saw from videos of test skates wasn't good. Just overemoting & heavy skating.
The one program that Zhulin has given them that really worked was Man with a Harmonica (although of course, even that had the random Tosca part that TAT insisted on :noshake

I know they are JGP medalist even now but current junior russian champs are 18/21 and that means there is whole olympic cycle between them. 4 year gap is big. I cant judge those teams by same junior standards. And I believe they can skate novice this year but chose to juniors.
