I bet if you speak Japanese, Russian, or British English there will be streams....

Some one may have already asked this， but what does it mean by “ISU-sanctioned event hosted by United Skates Figure Skating”? Can scores from this competition counts towards ones SB／PB?

No official word has been given one way or the other as to whether or not scores will count for SBs/PBs.

When the question came up in The Edge thread, I gave my two cents (worth no more than two cents) that I do not expect them to count:

It's an invitational like Japan Open. ISU rules say that except for GP events, invitationals don't count towards world ranking. That's in section C.1.6. Of course their rules are clear as mud, so there may be something more specific that says this event does count .......

I am an IN subscriber and if I werent going, I wouldnt pay extra. I bet you will be able to find youtube vids....I am going cause its 20 minutes away and my wife will go and I can see the partys going on in the kiss and cry.

My CBS station will have 2 hour coverage on April 24 at 10 am Pacific. You might check your various CBS feeds for those of you who DONT have rabbit ears like I do.....

"Forced to withdraw" I wonder by what, injuries or his fed. Team Europe seems actually stronger with Kolyada but Maxim was picked by fan voting so if that's external decision, it's a nasty thing to do.

P/C are out after Gaby fainted following a show in France. They prefer to take no risks after such a trying season for her. I hope she feels better soon and can come back stronger. Good decision from the team.

Yikes, I knew they withdrew but didn't know why. Hope it's not indicative of anything more serious.

Kovtun also withdrew due to a broken hand. Kolyada will take his place.

So from Team Europe already withdrew Liza Tuktamysheva, Maxim Kovtun & Papadakis/Cizeron, all due health problems. Is it some kind of curse? I wonder who will replaced them, since it's really short notice.

Mikhail Kolyada replaced Kovtun, according to the website. That's probably a good thing for team Europe...

My fingers are crossed for Coomes and Buckland to replace P/C...

EDIT: Actually I think this is a real possibility...Penny tweeted six hours that she's excited for the next few weeks with a USA flag and an airplane... :scratch3:
