People can vote for whatever reason they want to vote. But I still don't think Soyoun would have added much if anything to the team or the event.

Radionova is going to have to deal with Gracie and Ashley before she can even think about Zhenya. Looking at that prize money, Zhenya is going to skate all over Elena yet again. This could be an embarrassment to Rad if she screws up. The team is counting on her to do somewhat okay.
 
I'd be surprised if there isn't an (*) of some sort written into the contract giving them the power to alter the broadcast schedule at their discretion.

Why would it be hard to prove fraud? The IN site still has direct links to a list of events that are included in the $49.99 skating membership and also the $99.99 premium membership. The Team event is listed plain as day on those links, and has been for the entire 2015/16 season.

It is illegal bait-and-switch to suddenly say the Team event is not included, and to charge extra money for it.

But she has one of the best Salchows in the game. I'd like to see it one day in person.

Radionova's jumps have been wonky this year due to her continued growth through the season, but she has not embarrassed herself this year, and I doubt she is going to start now. She is the only one who has beaten Medvedava this year. It is quite unlikely that she will be screwing anything up. Plus, Elena has that fire in her belly. Team Europe need not worry about her. She as had some difficulties but it's not like she has been falling all over the ice.

According to the short bio on Ashley, she is a 2 time US champion and a 3 time US champion.:scratch2:

So, are they not going to show the results of the poll? Seems a bit odd that after having a poll system, they just decide to present the winners. But then, it IS sponsored by Kose. Won't be surprised if votes were tweaked to favor their country.

I've looked over the fine print & it does hold them blameless if a promised event does not occur (such as the TEB long programs being cancelled) or if streaming is affected by weather conditions, etc. I couldn't find anything that would allow them to change an event to "extra pay" while still listing it as included in the subscription.

I noticed they managed to add Ashley is the 2016 World Silver medalist, but they didn't bother to add that Duhamel and Radford are the 2016 World Gold medalists.

Ok. I'll bite. Gracie beat Med in LP at Skate America - by a whisper. And, beat her pretty well in the SP at worlds. Don't see what's dishonest about it. The whole last group at worlds was overscored boosting Med over the world record. IMO, Gracie is a far more developed and complete skater. I think she'll get a grip on her performance issues and come back vying for the top spot. Med, who knows what will happen once her body fills out.

Hmmm, well, Kose is a Japanese company, and the only Japanese skater in the poll was Rika, and I believe she is popular enough to garner enough votes to win. Granted, So Youn is also a well-liked skater, so I could see the results coming out for either skater, and I wouldn't be accusing the sponsor of tweaking any votes.

I don't think her body is going to fill out between now & April 22.

@jenaj: I share your feeling that it's unacceptable. I'm certainly not telling you to sue. But I personally think the extra charge is legally wrong. I personally will probably pay it unless they tell me it was all a mistake, because I want to see the competition. However, I will also do my best to get that money back.
