i was watching tennis... but damn... i am not to happy with a tough loss for Genie.... so now I am hoping for great skating ;) i seem to always find my way to the zamboni time ;)

I'm back....and kicking myself for not including the link in my pitch for the practices this morning....

Alison was really good... so strong... nice light jumps... the only thing i didn't like is the biellmann.. the beautiful layback was so good and then.. bang an average looking biellmann that travels... it's the only tiny thing i didn't like ... i really enjoyed her skating, not just the jumps...

good score!!! go go go!!!

Alison Schumacher just pulled off a clean skate ....

You know it's a bad night when Ted is commenting on how Alison had to have been in her own bubble to avoid the negative environment. His comment after Olivia Gran's performance that these skaters are going to stay in Juniors and come back having learned from the experience...

But I'm thinking of the number of Junior Men who fought back through their programs last evening and wonder how tonight's event got into such a negative groove...:scratch2:

Agree about the Biellmann in Alison's program....Seems coaches and skaters can't resist including them if the skater can do them, even if they aren't up to the quality of other elements...

Amanda Tobin's skate was laboured...didn't feel she had the energy and vibe to carry of either the music or the costume despite some of the great early jumps.

i hope the splat fest doesn't continue tomorrow...

Well, Triena Robinson showed the fighting back skill that seemed to elude many of the earlier skaters....and is in second at present to show for it.

Emily Bausback has seized the opportunity with very determined skate, including a 3T-3T [with a 3 turn in the middle] late in the second half. Good to see grittiness.

Aurora Cotop gave nothing away. Takes the title with an FS of 103.56 for an overall score of 163.11.

And she took the Novice women's title last year. Truly our next young women's skater to watch. Lovely.
