I couldn't believe how well everyone in the last group skated! Even Nathan scored amazingly for his first worlds. PB's all over the place. So happy for Yuzuru - my heart was in my throat during his entire FS, and then I kept waiting for someone to outscore him but no one did! I will be very interested to see how Shoma does next year, especially at the olympics. And if Nathan fixes his boot problems and works more on PCS (and handles the pressure) I'm sure he will be a serious contender as well. Also, it is very strange that high 90's is a "bad" SP score now

Yuzuru Hanyu is on a different planet from everyone else.

Boyang Jin gave a super performance. By next year his PCSs will creep up to where they should be.

Jason Brown was excellent, the "best of the rest."

It's not just many more are doing good Quads now. The definition of a postive GOE jump has also changed. Needless to say, very impressive.

Overall thoughts: AWESOME event for the ages. Going down in the history books....and far, far, faaaar superior to the Ladies.

I don't usually watch the men's event, but I caught Yuzuru's FS on YouTube on a whim AND WTH DID I JUST EXPERIENCE????? I'm emotional. He literally walked out of that anime where everything is so unrealistically exaggerated. :jaw:
