eteri's post was so obviously about how she overcame her obstacles this year. there was barely a sentence about zhenya, and it certainly wasn't the point of the post at all.

not everything eteri does or says is a shot at zhenya and it's not her responsibility to make sure that people aren't being nasty in her comment section. she's allowed to honestly and respectfully say how disappointed she was about zhenya leaving

Yes, someone posted what Rodina said about beating Alina to Zhenya's IG, Zhenya said she loves all her fans and doesn't know what they write. Zhenya's "love" will appear as approval to people like Rodina and they will do worse and worse.

Zhenya doesn't need to lead a brigade against her fans, but she could at least say she doesn't approve of violence.

Yes but she can moderate or ban comments on such a post. That she can and should do since I do thi k she knew what soem people would think on it and react to it

It sure started sooner than I thought it would.

Zhenya literally defended Alina when people insulted her in the comments once. Obviously she doesn‘t approve of violence. To even suggest that is beyond ridiculous but it doesn’t surprise me. Should she double check every person that wants to take a picture with her? Sure. Sounds incredibly logical.

I see, I‘ll have to stay far away from this thread in the off-season and the stuff people make up when they’re bored. Which is a shame because we’d have a lot of interesting Russian ladies to discuss.

That's a lot different than a statement about certain body types
And which body types are better suited for figure skating.

Most sports are like that regarding body types.

Fantastic performances by Medvedeva and Zagitova, the greatest skaters , Zagitova has improved a lot on the presentation aspect and Medvedeva is such a classy beautiful skater with lots of charisma.

You're talking about someone who stalks and takes pictures with many skaters? This is the standard now? We keep track of which skaters take pictures with who (regardless of if they know them) and then use that against them to "prove" they deserve some kind of hatred? That's ridiculous even for this threads standards.

Anyways.... it is interesting she said she was NOT doing endless runthroughs, she spent time off ice with her puma stuff.... and seemed to skate better. Hopefully Eteri can learn from this... that sometimes easing up is what works for some.

There could be also said "Eteri will always be the evil person". Like Eteri says:
"I was fan of Brian Boitano" => "Eteri says that because she is angry about Orser" (like there is no opportunity anyone could honestly like Brian Boitano)
Eteri speaks about her mother => Eteri is manipulating public opinion (just remember what was said when her interview with Ted was published)
Anything about diet => "we are so concerned about her starving her skaters to death" (this can be related to anything her skaters have also said, which is often retelled in modified versions or ripped out of context, not to mention continuous speculations about health of the skaters while it is against the rules)

And I could continue.

Again, I would like to remind the great shift that took place last season. Pre-medvexit it was "evil Eteri wanted Zhenya to win the olympics but brave Alina prevailed" vs. post-medvexit it was from the very same people "evil Eteri hold Zhenya's tech level low so jumping bean Zagitova could win the olympics because of her backloading (because otherwise she would never defeat Medvedeva, as we all know )." That is also about who brings alina into it. Sometimes Alina is mentioned by the people who on one hand speak about the longevity but on the other call for Alina to retire. Again, the very same people, not from the ranks of her fans.

This is like a boomerang.

body shaming? so now telling the truth is shaming? stating the fact is not criticizing. Does she look like 14? yes, she looks like 14 and it is ok, it is just her body type(at least she isnt fat which is worse). to be honest I prefer tiny skaters. their jumps look more effortless. Elizabet is like a hummingbird on ice and I really enjoyed her skating on wc2019 and I hope rusfed let her be part of Eteri's girl next season. 3A and Zagitova thats a lot of seniors. but I think Zagitova will retire.
