2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

To be fair this similar to what Daniil said about Trusova recently. But i don't know maybe the are more lenient with quads than Orser or because she is already competing at international level.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's a unique approach that they take with Stephen. I just disagreed with the suggestion that Brian is against quads for juniors. But again, it's not like I think she's going there. Which is probably for the best, since someone might die if Trusova and Gogolev were on the same session, trying to out-quad each other

I have to admit, I hope the best for Daria Panenkova. Hope she gets great programs. And I’m relieved that not all of Eteri’s students are waifs. Maybe that’s why I have a soft spot for Guliakova. She always seems so lost and uncomfortable.

At the ISU congress, the USFSA president, Samuel Auxier, has stated that viewers want to see mature women's skating. Athletes must be at least 17-18 years old. The current state of affairs leads to depopularization of the sport (women's singles). It lowers the attractiveness and interest toward the sport.

.....

I hope Rads and Pogo dont lose their motivation. There's a good chance we might not see Sherbakova, Kostornaia and Trusova until 19-20.

And during that vacation Alena learned 3lz-3lo combo well enough to jump it at B-level local competition she accidently took part in

I allege that this is a baseless rumor. Please, provide a PROOFLINK if you want people to believe this.

Because as far as we know she did not do that/ Probably someone's wishful thinking.

Prooflinks, ladies and gentlemen, prooflinks.

1) How does Auxier think he can just tell us what "everyone" wants to see? What about those of us who simply want to see the best skating -- not the "mature women's skating" if it means watered down content where it's an event to land a lutz....
2) Why do you get to decide that we don't see Shcherbakova, Kostornaya, and Trusova until 19-20? Even if Auxier suddenly has the power to decide things like this, he says 17-18, not 19-20. Plus, THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS YEAR'S PROPOSAL ABOUT RAISING THE AGE. So it can't happen until 2020 at the very earliest -- when Shcherbakova, Kostornaya, and Trusova will all have been senior eligible for a year already. You really think that if it passed then, they'd send them BACK DOWN TO JUNIORS???

This is just wrong on so many levels....
