2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

A year ago, I was just finding out about Anna Shcherbakova and her doing the easier quads in practice. Now we have two girls jumping 4Lz in practice and Sasha has landed two quads in an international program. What's next? 4A? It's amazing what they do.

Hanyu need to better hurry with that 4A, indeed, if he wants to be the first one.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I know
Eteri and Orser can start a 4A war, to see who gets the first ratified 4A.

If you call their heavily pre-rotated with full blade takeoff as quad. But to be fair many men who do the same are getting same credit of quad jumps soo...

What, sorry?
Anyone is already jumping a 4A at Eteri's school??? Or Hanyu jumped a 4A???
Or you are talking about Trusova and Sherbakova quads? If yes, you may need to re-watch them, both have pretty decent attempts with acceptable pre-rotation and so on.

I do watch their "quads" in slow motion. To be honest I would not call that "acceptable" prerotation XD but the truth is most skaters out there have some excessive amount of pre-rotation lol so I would not hung up on them.

That would sure stir things up. If one of them is ready by next season, they might want to enter a competition as soon as possible to be the first ; )

I was wondering if with the crazy amount of Russian ladies and juniors maybe it would be better to create a junior thread and a senior thread? We’re already at 130+ pages 👀

The problem is some skaters are somewhere between juniors and seniors now. And during the season because of different regulations inside and outside Russia some girls will be seniors and juniors simultaneously.

180 degrees is acceptable pre-rotation by the rules, whether you call it such or don't.

Oh totally! I was only suggesting to split the thread so that it makes it easier to find things and follow topics :)
I am strongly against this.

There is no rule for acceptable pre-rotation. It's just most skaters (especially ladies) do that so it's hard to crack down on that. When it's like 90% of skaters pre-rotate that much, they have to give it to them.

It's kinda funny the skaters with almost no pre-rotation in the Flip and Lutz (like Courtney Hicks or Polina Tsurskaya) get the same or even less GOE in those jumps compared to many other ladies but it's the norm so whatever.

Just can't wait to see in next season:
1) Trusova, Shcherbakova, Kostornaya and other Eteri juniors BTFOing the rest of the field at JGP series (*^ω^)八(⌒▽⌒)八(-‿‿- )ヽ
2) Evgenia vs Alina duels (`⌒*)O-(`⌒´Q)
3) Tsurskaya, Panenkova and Gubanova battle for the 3rd spot (((ง’ω’)و三 ง’ω’)ڡ≡ ☆⌒ミ((x_x)

P.S. And who said Stanislava Konstantinova? ✴==≡눈٩(`皿´҂)ง

I'd put her ahead of several Russian ladies when clean. She didn't have the best artistic skills, but her charisma was great, and her technical skills remain unmatched in the current OVERALL field when she's at her best.

Her effortless clean jumps look like a million bucks to me )
