Aside from the best list of participants I've seen, this competition was fully streamed and uploaded on youtube by the ISU itself.
But the best thing ever happened to the JPG is Ted Barton. Aside from being the best FS commentator (among English and Russian speakers), he is the man behind online streamings and some other initiatives. As he said, "The only property the ISU really owns is the Junior Grand Prix. Television owns everything else."

I didn't know Sabina was 11. Does this mean that if she improves and gets on the national team, she could be at the Olympics in 2022? (She should be 15, just like Alina) ?

I don't get all the talk about Sabina. She's thoroughly unremarkable, truly. She's not even an average skater for her age and is far behind dozens of girls in several categories. She wouldn't even be an afterthought if she wasn't Zagitova's sister. Saying something like she'll be better than Zagitova in components is honestly very ridiculous and uninformed, or baseless fantasy.

Tanos never automatically got positive GOE. They had to be done well and it was at the judges discretion whether or not a tano earned extra GOE. That was just a myth that it was automatically given.
Honestly I’ll miss them if people start doing less of them. I thought it was interesting to see the different styles of how skaters did them. “Arms in” really doesn’t add much or create differences in style. Typical ISU decision but I think the good form in the air bullet will still reward skaters like Tarakanova who spread them out well and execute them in a variety of ways.

I wouldn’t say it can’t happen, because this time four years ago we didn’t know anything about Zagitova yet. She was also unremarkable and even at the nationals 2.5 years ago (December 2015) she was only 9th. Let’s not forget that Zagitova has been a decent skater only the last two years - one year in junior and one year in senior. The season before that she wasn’t even good enough to get JGP events! So I don’t think it is any big disaster if her sister is only an average skater at this moment. She definitely has a chance. But so do many other girls. I wouldn’t see her as a big future star yet because the success is also partially caused by luck. Zagitova was lucky that she got invited to test skates even though she had such a bad placement at the nationals the season before. She was lucky she didn’t have any bad day at the test skates (her firsl official test skates) and then she got a JGP events. She was also lucky she didn’t get injured, and that she didn’t have any major body changes this season due to puberty. Many talented girls get stuck with injuries and when they come back, often they may not be as good as before, if they manage to come back at all (e.g. Proklova used to be great!). Whether the stars will align for the younger Zagitova we will have to see. I feel quite sorry for her, actually. Anything she is going to achieve, it will now be taken for granted because her sister already did it, and if she doesn’t achieve as much, she may feel constantly compared to Alina.

:think: Yes, it's possible that she'll achieve something, just like it's similarly possible for approximately 200 ladies in her age group to accomplish something. My point is that if she wasn't Alina's sister, she wouldn't even get talked about. In her age group, she placed 19th in the Ural/Volga region championship, which isn't a strong region at all and she additionally doesn't display anything special. I am not even exaggerating when I say that a random Moscow local tends to have 20 stronger ladies in her age group, at least. That doesn't mean it's a guarantee that she'll never become anything, but I'd say it's approximately as likely that she'll become something as it is for around 200 other ladies, yet 199 of those aren't talked about at all while she is, which I don't think is fair.
There's also the point of straight up insulting Alina like saying a mediocre skater like her would be better than Alina in components which, again, as a statement has no basis in reality.

Agh, it's so difficult to pick just one!
But I would go with Kostornaia. I'm intrigued to see what programs she'll be given, how her artistic range will cope with the new programs, and how she will upgrade her tech (aka add 3A and 3Lo combos) to narrow the TES gap between her and Trusova.
(Other choices I was deliberating between were Shcherbakova (too many unknowns) and Trusova (TES monster but doesn't intrigue me as much artistically as Kostornaia. I totally love her attitude though))
With regards to seniors it would be Tsurskaya because I'm still holding out hope for her because I liked her first junior season a lot.
Gubanova I also liked but her jumps scare me too much.
I'm cautiously optimistic for Sotskova's new non-princessy programs.
Also crossing my fingers for Pogorilaya's comeback but I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

I investigated Sabina a bit - she's pretty, she's slim, but she's different kind of slim than Alina and I don't know if she can jump as well, plus I got the vibe from her coach's interview she's been not the most zealous student, which might be a problem in current competition amongst Russian ladies. I fully agree with hanca though, that her talent can explode, just like the talents of other novice girls. Saying that, I doubt the wonder of year 2004 will happen anytime soon - I don't even think my fave Akatieva will be that strong at 13/14.
Also, regarding Adelina - every time I look at her photos, I'm under impression, that if she really wanted she could get back to shape in like 3 months or so. Even with few additional kilos you can tell she's innate athlete and we all know height of her jumps were insane! If not that Sochi gold, she would totally remind Kovtun - unaccomplished jumping phenom.
