2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

Guys, any thoughts, why they are keeping Sasha Trusova until the end? 🤔 I think her BV is going to be crazy (maybe three Quads). So they need much more time to stabilize her content.

I'm assuming it's because they like to put the ladies they might wind up switching around, taking assignments away from, etc. at the beginning, so they have time for switching if someone messes up their first event. But they trust Trusova not to need to be taken out of either of her events? Just a thought.

Well, last year, the strongest events were 6 and 7, so maybe they want to have a guaranteed winner there, as opposed to last year where she skated at 1 and 4.

But they sent Kostornaya - Russia's second best junior. Something is going on here . Just saw who will go to Austria, if Gubanova or Kostornaya won't. Sasha is in the last place. Eteri is obviously keeping Sasha. Unlike Scherbakova and Kostornaya, we know nothing about Sasha's jumping content or programs. I think they are making something special.

The subs aren't done in order of substitution, it's by alphabetical order, which is why Vasilieva is last.

I don't think they will go for so many quads. One will be enough for the JGPs. Probably from the final and after, they will add one more. Except if Eteri is possessed with some kind of "prove" attitude from the start of the season.

But you never know, if she is doing them with ease, why not ...

it's logical that Eteri is trying to give her girls different events. Just like the last season.
I guess Sasha will get 3rd stage
1 Anna
2 Alena
3 Sasha

It will be fun, if Russia sends Trusova against You Young or Yuhana Yokoi. We can see Quads vs 3A before JGPF. But the main question is .... Who will Russia send against Trusova 😅?

Sasha could have easily won JWC with one Quad, but she did two. In the press conference Eteri said , that Sasha's two quads were an answer to Kihira's two Triple Axels. Her "prove attitude" can be really strong, if someone doesn't agree with her. But I doubt that Young You will add two triple Axels.

I wish we will see something like this, based on first two events' entries:
1. Shcherbakova, Tarusina
2. Kostornaya, Gubanova
3. Trusova, Kanysheva
4. Tarakanova, Shcherbakova
5. Kostornaya, Kanysheva
6. Tarakanova, Tarusina
7. Trusova, Gubanova

Two silvers are more than enough for the final. And really, all of these ladies are stiff competition for each other (except for Trusova, if clean, has no competition, except Shcherbakova with multiple quads)

7. Trusova, Gubanova

This is good, although personally i'd put Sinitsyna or Kostyuk over Kanysheva.

Are those JGP spots decided by the results a Junior nationals alone?
