I too would prefer them but Kanysheva has won a lot more competitions than either of them. And, no, not by Junior Nationals alone, otherwise Shcherbakova would never have one.

Are those JGP spots decided by the results a Junior nationals alone?
I wish we will see something like this, based on first two events' entries:
1. Shcherbakova, Tarusina
2. Kostornaya, Gubanova
3. Trusova, Kanysheva
4. Tarakanova, Shcherbakova
5. Kostornaya, Kanysheva
6. Tarakanova, Tarusina
7. Trusova, Gubanova
They may want to get Stage 4 for Trusova which is in Vancouver and I think uses the same rink as the GPF which would be a big advantage for her when it comes to the gpf especially with her high risk layout.
I’m a Believer :hap93:But is one silver enough for a second assignment? Two silvers are more than enough for the final.
She's one of these low end Russian skaters who will be representing different countries. Also I was just looking at the full list of entries for JGP Linz and I noticed an interesting name entered under France: Anna Kuzmenko, who I think is a former/current Snow Leopard (assuming she is the same girl that Alena Kanysheva posted this picture with).
But is one silver enough for a second assignment?
This is why Gubanova should have been competing in seniors. If you don't even have her be the favorite for her JGP competition, why have her doing juniors?
I'm still bitter Gubanova isn't going seniorbut at least she got an assignment i guess i should be happy

There should be another one for Azerbaijan as well. Ekaterina Ryabova, was it?
Maybe she can get some challengers and gather points for next season GP.
Buyanova's influence should at least help with a couple of later Challengers that are not crowded by Seniors getting ready for GP. Otherwise why switch?Gubanova unfortunately isn’t a favorite.I don’t think she’ll get sent out that much. I hope I’m wrong. I hope she makes a comeback.
If Kostornaia has a clean 3A ( or almost a clean 3A). Gubanova doesn't have a chance ... PCS will be very similar ... that means she will have to do a lot of challenger for points if she wants a chance in seniors next year ...
I really don't even see the PCS being similar to be honest.. Kostornaya's will likely be ahead, by a margin.
Besides....It’s a new year...anything goes as far as I’m concerned. Tabla rasa
