Anna Tarusina also has good tanos.
I feel like Konstantinova's tanos not only are ugly but also damaging cause she goes off axis way too often nowadays.
Her lutz used to be much bigger without the tano.
She has always had the 2a with the arm above the head.

I couldn’t get through her long program this year between the Tanos and trying to skate to Anna Karenina the same year Evgenia did... I preferred the pantomiming!

Thank you! I've been dying to see this.
Not sure I quite like the way the music is cut and it's noticeable that she needs more work on her choreo - the movements are rushed or left a bit unfinished in some parts - but that's just a matter of time. But damn, Alina has grown so much over these few months! I know it's also the makeup and the hairdo, but she looks so much more mature now.
Her program is interesting and has potential, just needs a bit more time to develop

I don't know how I feel about that program. It find it bizarre.
I find the music cuts to be gimmicky tbh. Like let’s cut the music in a way that we can make her jump and spin during certain musical highlights but have no real flow or theme in relation to POTO.
Like there is literally a 10sec clip of masquerade just for her to spin, then it cuts to another song.
Her skating seems stronger though and she looks taller, but it could be the dress.

I like overall the program few notes here and there:
- She's taller now but also her skating here felt less rushed and a little more mature, she's very elegant. I like how she tried here to not rush the difficult entry into the 2A with the arabesque, and then the ina bauer. I hope this calm version of Alina is here to stay and not just because the pressure was off.
- Good expression throughout the program.
- "Think of me" really suits the state of russian ladies, especially Eteri's skaters where you have to fight to stay dominant and relevant, there are so many that it's hard to remember you. Not sure if it was intentional.
- This move here reminded me of Lipnitskaya. (not as good as Julia tho)
- This sound here is unnecessary and gimmicky, i get that they didn't want to make an happy program about POTO like that Gracie's FS, since POTO is not supposed to be happy, but in my opinion you could have done the music cut without the weird sounds.
- The final I-Spin is much better now compared to previous years.

Alina kind of reminds me of Polina now... anyone else? No?
It is not that they are really messy, but that - as very often with Eteri's programs - music makes more sense as a score for the movie (lots of montage) rather than an integral composition for 3min live performance.
Her growth in height is making her as tall as Polina.
Not at all. Polina, imo, is very different and in many ways better. Not being negative to Alina, but Polina was special among Eteri's girls - huge jumps, very beautiful lines in addition to great speed and power. Alina's lines is probably her weakest side - it is hard to find a single shot of her with nice position of arms and shoulders.
The similarity could be in the programs, and how Eteri's team tries to package Alina now. It is like Evgenia left, so now her "image" goes to Alina. Before they tried to do it with Polina - to make her the second Evgenia.

One thing for sure is Alina's program really doesn't look like a Medvedeva-styled-program like some people were saying a few days ago 
It's still very fast-paced just like her programs already were last season. But with a touch of "we don't know what your style is yet so we're gonna try this" that Daniil added :think: in my opinion
