PCS at Nats is always a joke, but 9+ with falls really really pushes it. At least after Zhenya they were consistent with the high PCS for questionable skates for Alina's FS for both girls in their big rivalry narrative...

What is going on with Alina? She was so off that entire skate. Besides the falls she just seemed really out of it. When shes had bad skates before the in between stuff she still does well, but all of it was just not there today.

Nastya’s PCS were a joke. 58? At Nationals? Anya and Alena both got fairer PCS (though Alena should get even more) why not Nastya? Her interpretation and performance was beautiful!

But congrats to the 3A! This is the best podium I could’ve asked for... it’s only missing Alina...

What is going on with Alina? She was so off that entire skate. Besides the falls she just seemed really out of it. When shes had bad skates before the in between stuff she still does well, but all of it was just not there today.

I am wondering too. In her short her her combo was solid. It seemed like she was injured. Maybe something flared up in her practices in between short and free.

Tosca's only been performed once so I think it would make sense to keep using it but I hope she gets a free that is more tailored to her (ugh I hope Zhenya can work with Shae Lynn Borne next season!!). I think the tango's definitely had its ups and downs through the season but it's not my favorite program of hers.

Agree. Keep the short and get a new Free Skate for next season. Tom Dickson would also be an amazing choreographer to work with. The programs he did for Satoko and Rika are amazing.

Her SB is fine as it is.
She is #11, and there is no way for her to drop much, because the girls who are going to worlds and euros, most of them are already above her.

The thing is I think she is really getting into her tango at least at sc and today even more so. I have nevr seen her animating the crowd like this. It was so amazing.. forget the fall she was really into the tango today and she finally has a tango dress. I mean the first one was beautiful but it was not a tango dress at all but this one today is.

If the music is edited and they use a new choreographer she could think about using it next season. She seems to enjoy Libertango. She could put more time to really refine her movements. Maybe worth it especially if this is her last big competition of the season.

It was interesting that Eteri was watching Anna behind a bunch of curtains. I wonder if they figured out after JGPF that Eteri makes her nervous and they adjusted by not having her visible to Anna before and during the skate.

Alina trains with Anna (and Alexandra and Alena) so she more than anybody else knows what they are capable of.

Maybe Eteri needs to hid behind the curtains for Alina too. Just in case.

That's a whole lot of nonsense. Eteri was watching behind the curtains because she had to be with the skaters to come while Daniil and Sergey were out there supporting Anna, they always rotate.

And for the record, no, Alina performed after Stanislava who performed after Anna.
