2018-19 U.S. Ladies' figure skating

They aired Mariah's new SP, choreographed by Adam, on the Japanese broadcast of The Ice last night. She had a silly fall on her 2A but otherwise I thought the program looked good.

Oh good! is there any way we can watch? do you have a link?

I don't think anyone recorded it but you can watch it on Forjoytv.com by signing up for their 1 day free trial.

The broadcast info for The Ice is:

Channel: 049
Time: 13:30
Date: 09/16

Her program was at the 12min mark. She also appeared in several group numbers if you are interested.

Thanks sheetz!

BTW kind of missing Ice Network right now, to tell us what the novice and junior ladies did at SLC. One junior lady I am particularly interested in is Emilia Murdock. She has lovely posture, as well as a nice flow and knee bend. Her jumps are big too! No 3-3 yet but it looks possible for sure. She also has two 3lutz in her long. She was bronze in junior ladies and I wonder what jumps she landed....

The results and protocols for the Juniors and Novices are actually posted here on the US Figure Skating website! Looks like Emilia Murdock got third overall and second in the FS.

Also:

"The entire event will be available on-demand on the U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone next week," per the most recent three 2018 Challenge Skate articles listed below.

USFS Fan Zone published daily articles about 2018 Challenge Skate results, with novice and junior coverage for all disciplines. (There was no competition for junior pairs and junior dance.)

This is kind of a strange place to post this (I know) so please feel free to ignore but I’m very curious if anyone else is getting Ashley vibes from this program

(I think the audio is off a bit :) )

Oh i did not expect to find this in the US ladies thread lmao it does look Ashely-esque sometimes in my opinion  she reminded me a lot of Sotnikova with her hideous orange dress but thanks god they changed it to this one. still not a fan of the program tho.

I'm pretty curious to watch Bradie perform this season, she is one hard working girl no matter how much trash people always talk about her. She definitely doesn't slack off.

MAJOR Ashley vibes . Even the hair and dress. (And the smallish jumps :slink:.)

I don't think this style suits Gubanova particularly well, but it's nice to see her extending her range and developing.

Lots of articles & photos on NBC GOLD fanzone US fig. sktg.

Thanks sheetz!

FYI: I just discovered that on the NBC Gold website there is a section called FanZone US figure skating. Here's the web address:

https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/...novice-ladies-champion-crowned-at-us-novice-a

It has tons of articles and photos about the SLC event last weekend including the novice events. Also a JPG article & photo about our Junior boy's medal winner at the event in Canada last weekend. I think his name is Tomoko Hiwatshi.

Also an article about US skaters touring in Japan, Jason Brown's Rosh Hoshanah family photo and moare.

CORRECTION TO MY POST ABOVE. Actually, fanzone's part of US figure Skatings's website, not NBC Gold. It's the same site that GS member "ice coverage" referred to yesterday in Post #1510.

By the way, here's Mariah Bell's SP :agree:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwojRpWyQbM

Is it just me, or does it seem Mariah's dress is giving off a USA flag vibe? Or is that the point?

It's an old dress from a couple of seasons ago made to be very patriotic.

Or did she sew together two of Michelle Kwan's old dresses? ;)
