2019 U.S. Nationals Senior Men FS

Trips over the carpet and both Vincent and Nathan fix it before hugging each other. Too cute.

Skate Radio says IF Nathan can go lay down a performance like that at Worlds no one can beat him. Agree or disagree?

Disagree. A perfect Yuzuru or perfect Shoma ( unlikely) can beat him. But, in men’s competition it is rare for anyone to be 100% clean like Nathan was today. So, if he skates perfectly at worlds like he did today he will win. But, will he?

It's my first time watching a U.S. medal ceremony. Was there always a medal for 4th place? I didn't know about that before.

A perfect Shoma should never beat a perfect nathan IMO - Shoma’s technique needs to really be worked on - they are not in the same league technically

Tomoki FS scores just three points lower than Jason. Didn't expect that. Can't wait to see protocols.

As someone else wrote, what is the worlds junior team going to look like? Will there be a Camden or has he aged out? We'll know soon enough.

Camden has not aged out. He competed as a junior this year and your eligibilty is determined by your age on a specific day before the season starts. He can go. We will see what happens. I would think they would want to send Tomoki, Andrew and Camden.

Congratulations Nathan you are no doubt the best in the world. This is probably the first time I see Nathan do 2 very clean programs. No blemish or flaws whatsoever. He is very hard to beat this coming worlds.

Always. I think it's to match the qualifying system where the top 4 from regional/sectional move on to the next level of competition.

Or Artistically, and Shoma wins that battle. ( the international judges agree ) . But, Shoma has been struggling this season. I don’t think he will win worlds. So, it is likely between Nathan and Yuzuru. But, who knows maybe Mikhail Kolaya will skate perfectly and win it all.

I feel Vincent has been skating right after Nathan in almost every competition they are in, and Vincent didn't melt down. I have to give him credit for that.

Nathan Chen’s jumps are wonderful. Program was really enjoyable. All so effortless and didn’t look tired at the end.

Nathan was amazing tonight even if his score was over the top. I wanted Jason for silver but those two pops cost him. Vincent is such a hard worker but Tom and Tammy should take out the quads he keeps UR on. Glad he got credit for the opening combo.

And great job to Tomoki for the pewter! I'm sure Camden's semi meltdown will hurt predictions. Glad he fought at the end with that combo. I hope he learns to cope with nerves and gets it together
