2021 Spring Star

Before I leave for dinner, I just wanted to say something about the opening skater, Russalina SHAKROVA (KAZ).

Her dress today was too close to the edge for me. It was the classic black figure skating dress with sparklies all over, and a plunging section of illusion mesh at the front. The difference to other similar dresses is that the illusion mesh at the front was totally transparent. It wasn't even pretending to obscure anything!

Yes, technically, she was completely covered. But, that doesn't take away from the fact that there was a serious amount of cleavage on display. And it was definitely too much for a Junior competition.

Well, now that the Group 2 Warm-Up is over, I'm going to leave for my dinner. I'll pause the stream now and play catch-up on the rest of the girls once I'm finished eating.

Jogaile. Elegant black dress and elegant skating. A few mistakes, but she has a more senior feel to her skating.

Before anybody leaves, just remember that a final group of 3 girls are about to go in the Interclub part of the Junior Ladies FS. But, it'll be a while until I get to them, as I'm playing catch-up after breaking away for my dinner. (I've just watched a really fun FS from Kazakhstan's Nuriya SULEIMEN, so I'm about an hour and a quarter behind).
