And after a break (resurfacing?), we finish the day with a Pairs double-bill. 2 Junior partnerships, followed by 1 Senior partnership.

The Time Schedule PDF's indicate that they are in separate Warm-Up groups, but if you look at the times, the Senior Warm-Up is due to be during the last of the Junior programmes! So, I think it was just done like this to avoid editing the template, and that the 3 partnerships are actually all going in one group.

Here are the Time Schedules:
Junior Pair's SP - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...JUNIOR--07QUAL000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf
Senior Pair's SP - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...--------03QUAL000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

And here are the live scoring pages:
Junior Pair's SP - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG013.htm
Senior Pair's SP - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG005.htm

Hope this helps

Day 2 of the Britannia International is due to start now. However, the Entries / Results page has not been updated to include yesterday's Short Programme results, or Time Schedules for today's Free Skates.

Consequently, there is not much point in me doing reminder posts at the time that each of today's Free Skate segments is due to start.

However, I will do reminder posts for the Senior Singles SP's this afternoon, and the Ice Dance segments that follow them, as we do have Time Schedules for them.

So, in the meantime, all I can say is:

I think you might be one day out with your messages: doesn't the event start today, on August 26?

:bang: :bang: :bang:

That explains everything!!!

How on Earth did I manage to do that?! :jaw:

I was getting really angry and frustrated with the lack of updates to the Results pages. And I was getting really worried that this was a bad sign for the GP in November. But, now I feel a lot better about it.

Thank you so much for correcting me.  :points:

:thank:

Based on updated entry lists, the situation in terms of "international" status of various events is

World Standing points: Senior Ice Dance

TES minimums for ISU Championships: Junior Men, Junior Women, Senior Men, Senior Women

The composition of the panels of officials looks ok for scores of above mentioned events to be recognized as international.
Technical panels are from the 3 ISU members and all have at least "international" qualification.
Panel of judges are composed of 5 people (the minimum required) and Great Britain have 2 judges in them (so respecting the rule of no ISU member holding a majority as it is 2 out of 5).
In Ice Dance, the 5th judge (the 2nd British judge) doesn't have "international" qualification, but well, there is an exception to the rules allowing for one national judge.

Nothing: Senior Pair, Junior Pair, Junior Ice Dance

Setting out shortly for today's events (I won't make it in time for the Advanced Novice Girls/Boys nor the Junior Women).

I'll report back later...

I think I spotted Michal Brezina earlier in the week at IceSheffield - is he coaching any British skaters?

Ruthy, if you see anybody official looking, could you let them know that although the links to the Time Schedules for today's Free Skates have been added to the Entries / Results Page, the PDF's themselves haven't actually been uploaded?

Have a great day!

Adela Vallova who is competing in Junior Woman event is officially coached by his father Rudolf Brezina and did summer training in California. So he may be there with her.

@Ruthypegs - Just to let you know, I was writing this reminder post when you posted your last post. And when the page moved down unexpectedly, I panicked and accidentally pressed the "post reply" button prematurely. However, I've now edited the resultant post so that it asks you a question instead.

After my mix-up over when the event started, Day 2 is definitely starting now.

However, there is an irony in that we are in the same position that we were in yesterday. Because, although the links to the Time Schedules for today's Free Skates have been added to the Entries / Results Page, the PDF's themselves haven't been uploaded!

Because I had already done the reminder posts a day earlier, and so concentrated on watching the Junior GP, I wasn't keeping an eye on the Entries / Results Page yesterday. So, I don't know if the livescoring was working. If it is, I will certainly do regular reminder posts. But, if it isn't, I will wait until we get to those segments that do have Time Schedule PDF's uploaded.

Anyway, we start with both Advanced Novice Singles Free Skates. From the timetable, I guessing that it will be a group of 5 girls, followed immediately by a group of 2 boys.

Here are the Time Schedules:
Advanced Novice Ladies FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...ADVNOV--10FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf
Advanced Novice Men's FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...ADVNOV--09FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

And here are the live scoring pages:
Advanced Novice Ladies FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG020.htm
Advanced Novice Men's FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG018.htm

Hope this helps

Well, the livescoring isn't working. But, I've decided to carry on anyway, as the way the timetable is means that it would only be 2 posts that I would be skipping.

From the Advanced Novices, we move to the Juniors. Again, girls followed by boys.

Here are the Time Schedules:
Junior Ladies FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...JUNIOR--06FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf
Junior Men's FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...JUNIOR--05FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

We are leaving the Singles skating for a while to have the two Pairs Free Skate segments. 2 Junior partnerships followed by 1 Senior partnership.

Arabella Sear-Watkins won Junior Women with a decent FS apart from popped Axels

Yay!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points:

It's always nice to see the children of skaters doing well when they follow in their footsteps.

After the dinner break, we return to Singles skating. And it is time for the Seniors to kick off their campaigns. As with the younger levels earlier, it is Ladies first.

Unfortunately, there has been a withdrawal from each group. Skater #1 Kristen SPOURS (GBR) from Group 1, and skater #6 Kristina SHKULETA-GROMOVA (EST) from Group 2.

For the rest of the day, it is Ice Dance. And looking at the timetable, I think the first 3 segments might all be back-to-back.

I have to say, I like the way that the organisers have the two Advanced Novice Pattern Dance segments separated by the Junior Short Dance. I don't think it is fair on the kids when the two segments are back-to-back. Especially in cases like this when there is only 1 Novice entry.

Here are the Time Schedules:
Advanced Novice Pattern Dance 1 - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...ADVNOV--12QUAL0001PK--_StartListwithTimes.pdf
Junior Short Dance - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...JUNIOR--08QUAL000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf
Advanced Novice Pattern Dance 2 - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...ADVNOV--12QUAL0002PK--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

And here are the live scoring pages:
Advanced Novice Pattern Dance 1 - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG021.htm
Junior Short Dance - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG015.htm
Advanced Novice Pattern Dance 2 - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG022.htm

Newberry won Men SP with 74.19 score

Povey leads Women with 52.45

In Ice Dance, the 5th judge (the 2nd British judge) doesn't have "international" qualification, but well, there is an exception to the rules allowing for one national judge.

They updated this, eliminating the judge without international qualification. The referee (Buchanan) is double-jobbing as judge 1 now with Prins(Netherlands), Yordanova (Bulgaria), Stratieva (Austria) and Fernandez (Great Britain) completing the panel of judges for Senior Ice Dance.

Any streams on Youtube?

Nope. There is no streaming at all. Much to the annoyance of a lot of fans.

And we finish the day with the Senior Short Dance.

Unfortunately, the final partnership in Group 1, #4 Eleanor HIRST / Anthony CURRIE (GBR), have withdrawn.
