Ach! I missed half of Mao Shimada's programme because I was nearly finished doing something, and decided that it would be better to carry on and wind back the stream. But, I didn't notice that this is one of those streams that you can't wind back. :bang:

It's just as well that there is a resurfacing at the time that I normally have my dinner.

Awww. That was nice.

When skater #8 Lisa CAPICOTTO (ITA) was waiting for her scores, she not only had her coach sitting with her, but also skater #7 Linda LEZUO (ITA).

Suffice to say, they are both from the Bolzano club.

So nice seeing team-mates supporting each other.

They are currently in 3rd and 4th, with LEZUO 3.22 points ahead of CAPICOTTO.

And the same thing just happened again at the end of the group.

When skater #14 Jayana TISCHLER (CHE) was waiting for her scores, she had her coach and skater #13 Felicitas FISCHER (CHE) alongside her.

I love it when we see this.

They are currently in 8th and 10, with FISCHER 5.55 points ahead of TISCHLER. The skater that went before them, Ekaterina COCIU (ITA) is splitting them.

Anyway, time for dinner.

Whaaaaat? No way! I knew Young Goose was where he trained but still! That's really cool!

It was just for the Advanced Novice Ladies, though. We're now back to the female announcer that took us through the Advanced Novice Men this morning.

He made a few mistakes, but not many. On the whole, he did a great job.

Mmmm. Not sure what to make of this cover of "Dancing In The Dark" that Noemi BETTEGA (AUT) is skating to. I absolutely love Bruce Springsteen's original. This version has a totally different feel to it. But, I think I like it too.

Fun way to start the segment.

She was grimmacing when the score came through. She's annoyed with herself for the fall.

My goodness! Hannah HERRERA (USA) got me all excited there. The music started and I thought "Is she skating to the version of 'I'll Tell Me Ma' by Van Morrison and The Chieftains that I listened to a few days ago?!"

No, she was skating to "I Want You" by Marian Hill.

Well, you have to admit, the starts are very similar!

Good job Hannah Herrera! Nice height and distance on the combination jump (3Lz+3T?) and I've never seen someone enter a 2A with their arms crossed like that before! Good sense of creativity in the program as well. Gotta keep an eye on her for the future...

Ooh, a late withdrawal.

Gayane STEPANYAN (ARM) brings it up to EIGHT withdrawals in Junior Ladies, tying with the Advanced Novice Ladies.

So, just 2 skaters in this group, when there were orignally 6.

Well, it wasn't Bonnie Tyler, but that wasn't a bad cover of "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" that Carlotta BROGGINI (ITA) used. (The male voice did sound like the guy that sang on the original version, so it might actually have been him).

I was enjoying the skating too, but then she unfortunately fell towards the end.

Into 13th, with 7 to go. (It's not as bad as it sounds - she is less than a point behind 8th position).

Surprised Azusa is in second after the fall on the first jump. Then again, the rest of her skating had an ethereal quality to it, like fluffy clouds.😊 ☁️

Just looking through the table, and after 16 skaters have done their programmes, there have only been 4 falls (4 skaters with 1 fall each).

It's not often you get to this stage of a segment and can say that.

Please, somebody put me out of my misery. What is the TV programme that the music that Angelina GRANT (CAN) is skating to is from?

It's driving me mad trying to remember!!!

Gotta give a shout-out to Angelina Grant of Canada for giving an absolutely fun and vivacious performance! 😍

It's music from the show Dynasty

Thank you!!!  :points:

:thank:

I knew it was from an iconic series, and I knew I should know, but my mind just went blank.

And on the subject of music, I really liked the pan pipe music used by the skater that followed her, Irina NAPOLITANO (ITA).

We need more music like this in figure skating.

And we just had a similar performance from another Canadian, Josée Chouinard and Jean-Michel Bombardier's daughter, Fiona BOMBARDIER.

She goes into 5th, which means we have just 0.14 points covering all 3 Canadians, who are currently in 4th, 5th and 6th.

After watching this competition, I'm getting really excited about the future of Canadian Ladies skating.
