I was getting so excited... Rhapsody In Blue! And he just skated through most of the program. Apparently Nozomu has not yet realised that the style of chaos, quads, and empty programs is not going to work well.

These last two have been the highlight (obviously)

Naoki is just full of untapped potential and is what I think Magri wanted Daniel Grassl to be. Lovely long lines and great movement, with nice jumps as well.

Takeru had some silly mistakes, (you need to have solid triples) but he managed to fall on a 3A, go down the other end of the rink, and land a 3A-3T. That takes serious talent.

I think he may have put his foot down between the jumps so probably 3A+REP

Edit: According to the protocol he did a 2S not 2T.
I guess it was supposed to be a 3AEu2S
2S wasn't counted anyway

I was particularly drawn to the soft landing of Takeru's jumps. Too bad about the opening 3A! But still congrats to the skaters making to the podiums!!

Performance and musicality is obviously not Nozomu's strength
Why his team would waste time and money on intricate Misao Sato choreo, I just don't understand
Idk, maybe she intentionally gave him an empty program...but I doubt it

It reminds me of when Sergei Voronov (who's skating I usually found entertaining) had a Jeff Buttle program
