And after I press "Post reply", I immediately go to the livescoring page to see if I have put it up a bit too soon, and find that she has actually withdrawn.

So, after expecting to have three of my girls from Cyprus in action today, it turns out that I have only actually had one. But, she won her competition, so that makes up for the disappointment.

It'll be interesting to see if the other girl representing Cyprus in Mini-Cubs (who I know absolutely nothing about) will be here on Monday...

Day 2 starts and ends with boys double-bills, with a monster-length girls competition in the middle. We start with 2 Basic Novice boys; followed by 3 Intermediate Novice boys. But, because the Time Schedule PDF's are not working today, I don't know if they are going out together, or separately.

For now, I will do separate posts at the times they are each supposed to start. And if the livescoring page indicates that they are combined, I will edit the post to reflect that.

EDIT: Looking again, I think they are combined, because the livescoring page for the Intermediate Novices doesn't mention a Warm-Up.​

We stay with the Intermediate Novices, but move from the boys to the girls. 37 of them, arranged into three groups of 7 girls; followed by two groups of 8 girls. Due to the Time Schedule PDF's not working, I don't know when the ice will be the resurfaced. But, I would guess that if there is one resurfacing, it will be at the end of Group 2. If there is two, I would say at the end of Group 1 and the end of Group 3.

From the Intermediate Novice girls, we return to a boys double-bill. Or, maybe that should be a triple-bill, because the Advanced Novices have been split into two competitions again. (Although, confusingly, the separate FS is listed for yesterday in the timetable, rather than today. So I don't know whetehr it is before or after the main competition).

We start with the Advanced Novices. 8 boys in total, but Maksym SHEVCHYK (LTU) is skating "Out Of Competition".

Day 4 is Ice Dance Saturday, where we start off with all the Pattern Dances, and then finish the day with the Junior Short Dance. Unfortunately, it is the format that I don't like, where each level has both it's segments back-to-back.

But the 3 Cubs partnerships that we start off with don't have that problem, because they only do one Pattern Dance.

Nikita has gained a bit of "fame" () recently after his former partner went on to partner with Nikolaj Majorov and have a massively successful start to her new partnership, but Lilia is probably unknown to most. From what I can see, she last competed back in 2020/21, when she won the silver medal at German Nationals with her former partner.

And they are currently sitting in 3rd - That's a pretty successful debut for them too. Shame Germany only has one Jr Worlds spot, as S/R will be aging out of Jrs after this season, but hopefully, we'll get to see them at German Nationals (The German fed is getting a stink eye from me here, as they still haven't released entry lists for Sr Singles + Nv/Jr/Sr partnered disciplines Nats)

I´m glad he found a new partner and that they did so well in their debut. I was feeling bad for him with the success Milla had with Nikolaj, and she leaving the partnership for a new partner. I think they both found success with the new partners and that it´s for the best. Not that you can judge by one competition, but Milla and Nikita scored 43 points in their junior debut, now see how well the new partnerships goes for both scoring in the range of 56-62 points in the beginning of the new partnerships.

Yes, changing partners can definitely be the best thing for some skaters, good for both of them. A bit sad that Lilia and Nikita will have to go into Srs immediately (and GrimmSkiy might move up to Srs next season too), but Germany is also good at assigning their senior skaters to international competitions (at least something, I guess...). Looking forward to seeing them on video at German Nats - The live stream is usually free, so fingers crossed

I was going to say that "we were now going to have a brief break from what is otherwise an all Ice Dance weekend for the last of the Junior Singles competitions". But, you can hardly call a competition that is 5h 33m long and has 40 participants "brief"!
