they were super strict with the URs, which I think is a good thing in general
don't know if it's justified in each case since I wasn't paying attention to that at all

Honestly, with some of the skates we've seen here so far (particularly among the women and pairs), it's a bit of a shame this competition doesn't count for best scores (or World standings, for that matter). 🙈

The season is long, and there are a lot of competitions ahead, so there are many chances to skate like this or even better at a competition that does matter, but some of these skaters are not known for their consistency either, so every "on" competition is a gift 😅
 
This already happened yesterday, but I still don't understand why H/K's levels are quite a bit lower here than at their other competitions so far this season? Why was the death spiral invalid?

First time I've seen a pairs combo spin fall, I think, but otherwise another good skate. Their sbs jumps are becoming progressively stronger and more consistent, which is great news.

I was wondering why the death spiral was invalidated too. Maybe an error in the system, it looked fine.
