Matias Lindfors is injured and cannot take part. But still seven senior men and five men in juniors, which is positive. I have a feeling we may see some surprises there.

No stream available outside of Finland. National TV shows some highlights afterwards for free and Ruutu+ (€) shows live event, but neither of those does not work even with VPN.

Just noticed Lotta Artimo is not skating there. Must be injured or ill. She was one of the medal contenders in junior women.

Looks like Nella Pelkonen has WD?
Yes 😕. It means Ec spots will be between Janna, who probably will get one, and the other one between Linnea Ceder and Olivia Lisko. Olivia needs to skate 100 % clean to get enough scores and place higher than Linnea as Linnea is now 2nd on the two highest scores' list. I like them all and rules are fair so let the best ones get the spots. I did not buy the stream because there are other things to do today so I will watch highlights on tv lately.

Local evening post makes it again. Last times GP was marked as worlds, now nationals is GP. Todays schedule, taitoluistelu=Figure skating

Selma Välitalo also has WD. Edit, I had not noticed Makar Suntsev had also WD. In junior women should have been 22 skaters, so there is some other WD also than Lotta.

Local TV showed all three senior ID pairs, all men and top 6 women and our only pair. They did not show juniors.

About ID: Pirihara was tecninally best, but Juulia/Matthias won RD only by some tenths. New pair's seems to have good chemistry and they are promising.

In men Arttu Juusola was technically best and skated almost clean with one !. I think he maybe was a bit underscored.

In women, Olivia Lisko was almost perfect and won the SP, only a couple spin levels needs to be improved just a bit and maybe she still needs more speed. Her jumps are so good she could try more difficult combination in SP after getting some speed. Linnea Ceder was on fire and did everything almost clean too with one ! but she needs one 3-3 which she has not done in competitions after her break. Janna skated clean but combination got q and >, IMO it was right to get those.

Nationals are nationals. I think in men the scores were at the same level as they would have been internationally, maybe Arttu's could have been couple of points higher. I women and ID I think international scores would have been lower. Milania and Filippo had one big mistake, no fall, I think they scores were close to what international ones would have been.

Olivia missed the EC spot by 1,72 points. She only popped one jump, other was clean. Even double would have been enough...
I am ok Linnea and Janna getting the spots, but both made many big mistakes today so a part of me wanted the cleanest national's skater get the spot. Janna has had ups and downs this season, maybe there is still going something on.

I had a feeling there would be some surprises. Well I thought OIivia could win, but I am not sure if it really was a surprise. I also had a feeling Arttu could beat Valtter, but his FS was not good and biggest surprise in men was Jan Ollikainen being 2nd at FS. In junior women Saaga Volkova was the biggest surprise, new name on the field. Karina Innos placing very low with low scores was unwanted surprise. There is some epidemic going on here now and commentators said many skaters suffer from it. Makar and Nella WD because of it though they both could win, but healthy first decision is a good decision. Valtter has back problems, let's hope it is not serious. If it is, Makar will go to EC.

In FS Olivia and Linnea received almost the same PCS which is not right in my opinion. Olivia's free was a very strong and solid performance. She was connected to the music all the time and her posture, effortless skating style and confidence really stood out among the top three here. In my opinion she should have scored enough by that free to get the spot. Linnea and Janna had a rough free due to nerves but overall great that Linnea is back and Janna is handling very well all the changes she has been getting through lately. Juulia and Matthias have a new stationary lift in their tango. Maybe they were done with those strange level drops in previous competitions. There were some changes also in their assisted choreojumps. Dazzling performance! Yuka and Juho skated really well too.
