2024 Tallink Hotels Cup | Feb 15-18

Well done Pernille, she is slowly getting back to shape after being out for months with injury this fall :clap: Her 2A-3T is back, all though not fully rotated

She still needs to improve her spins, but at least she has got them up to level 3 and 4.

And Pernille comments her dress in K&C: "I felt like the dress suited the program actually":laugh: For me it´s very weird not to see her yellow dress, I prefer it!

I know when Queen songs are being skated to, I normally prefer it to be the original version. But "Love Of My Life" does make a great instrumental orchestra piece.

Everything about that was beautiful.

And you know what. I think the red dress suits the programme.

Right, Ida and Pernille are being very chatty during the highlights. But, between their programmes and their chat, they've been so animated that they need a drink to recharge themselves!

Pernille goes into the lead of both FS and overall.

Both of them nod in approval.

Two happy Norwegians.

Oooh. Elea fell.

I'm afraid it did rain on her parade.

Given that she was only 0.86 ahead of Pernille, I don't think she is going to hang onto the lead. But, there are big gaps on either side of Ida, so she should slot into one of them. But which one?

Mmmm. It's her and a coach on the sofa. I wanted all of the skaters to be there! 😞

And the coach walked off just before the scores were announced. 😲

Ouch. She goes into 6th in the FS, and 3rd overall.

When she had her head in her hands in the mini-box during the highlights, I thought Daria was crying. But, when she moved the hands, she wasn't.

She seems to be taking it pretty philosophically.

Well, she's got a very good guy as a coach.

Into 4th in the FS, and 3rd overall.

Although we had two Finns in consecutive positions after the SP, it didn't have the same anticipation as with the Norwegians in the previous group, because there was a 2.33 point gap between the Finns after the SP.

But, they both skated very well.

They are now 1-3 in the FS standings, sandwiching Elizabeth NOU (EST), and 1-2 in the overall standings. In each case, it is Lotta ARTIMO leading, with Karina INNOS in 3rd in the FS and 2nd overall.

Marta Helena PRANGEL (EST) skating to Måneskin. Mmmm. Still don't like them.

But, she skated well.

Judging by her reaction to the scores, she wasn't expecting to take the lead. It really surprised her!

That was lovely to see!

First of the Joos sisters now.

Oh, Noemi! It was going so beautifully. And then she fell. :bang:

Given how close she and Gabriele JUSKAITE (LTU) were after the SP, if Gabriele has a good and clean skate, that could have put paid to the chances of a Joos 1-2.

That said, everything else was so good!

We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The baby is back! 👶

I wonder, is that coach a third Joos sister? Because seeing her, the baby and Noemi sitting together, they all look very alike.

She goes into the lead.

Ooooh. Gabriele JUSKAITE (LTU) had a fall too.

This could go either way.

No, she held onto the lead.

Gabrielle. Elegant black with red outfit. Great 3lutz2A2A. Really good skate. Lithuania is getting a leading lady. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Hey, I know I was expecting my kid Aleksandra Golovkina to bow out at Euros, but there's life in her yet! She got her highest ever FS and overall scores a couple of weeks later at the Ephesus Trophy!

And even when she does retire, don't rule out the Senior Champion, Meda VARIAKOJYTE. She's only a couple of years older than Gabriele.
