The skills criteria listed in that document are:
2 years or fewer : Triple + triple combo with 3Lo, 3F or Lz (both programs)- triple solo jump and triple Axel (short) (2025/26 season, 3Lo)- all triple jumps (including triple Axel)- spins and step sequence in the +GOE. AVERAGE PC (not factored): 6.5 or higher
3+ years : Triple + triple Combo (both programs)- triple solo jump (short) (2025/26, 3Lo)- Five different triples (free)- spins and step sequence in the +GOE. AVERAGE PC (not factored): 6 or higher
I left out most elements executed with speed, and the 3A/quad in training, since I can't check those from protocols.
Parker (last year)
- SB (2024-25) : 187.86 (int)
- Av PCS at NextGen : ~5 X
- SP jumps at NextGen : 3F-3T and 3Lo √ No 3A X
- FS jumps at NextGen : 3F-3T √ and all triples except the 3A X
- Spins & steps at NextGen : +GOE on the steps (barely) √ –GEO on all spins X
His performance at NextGen didn't meet most of the criteria. At Challenge, he had +GOE on 4/6 spins, and was closer on the PCS (but not hitting 6.5 av). At Nationals, he had +GOE on 3/6 spins (one was 0), still not hitting the PCS. At his Jr B, he had –GOE on 4/6 spins and the step sequence, but did hit av PCS above 6.5 for the FS. I didn't see any 3A attempts. So in general, the 3A requirement is clearly flexible, as are the PCS and steps/spins requirements. The only skills from the list he consistently had were the combo in both programs, and solo triple for the short. He did have an international score within 10 points of the minimum, which might have helped?
David H (last year)
- SB (2024-25) : 198.73 (Challenge)
- Av PCS at NextGen : ~6.4 in SP, ~6.2 in FS
- SP jumps at NextGen : 3Loq and 3T-3T, no 3A X
- FS jumps at NextGen : no 3-3, no 3Lo, no 3A X
- Spins & steps at NextGen : +GOE on the steps √ and + on 4/6 spins
Met almost none of the skills criteria at NextGen. At Challenge he had all spins +GOE, 3Lz-3T in the FS, and hit the PCS in both programs. At Nationals, 5/6 spins were +GOE, he hit the PCS for the SP and he had a 3Lz-3T in the SP. So he did hit the target score and most of the criteria between Challenge and Nationals, except for a clean 3Lo or any 3As.
Rui (3+ years)
- Av PCS at NextGen : 6 in SP √ ~5.8 in FS
- SP jumps at NextGen : 3Lo √ no 3-3 X
- FS jumps at NextGen : 3Lz-3T √ 5 different triples √ (though both 3Fs were falls, so does it count?)
- Spins & steps at NextGen : steps +GOE √ 5/6 spins +GOE
Hit most of the skills criteria at NextGen. He missed the 3-3 in the SP, but showed it in the FS, and was a bit off for the FS PCS and a couple spins. He has had clean 3Fs at other comps, and did attempt a 3-3 last season in one event.
Triple + triple Combo (both programs)- triple solo jump (short) (2025/26, 3Lo)- Five different triples (free)- spins and step sequence in the +GOE. AVERAGE PC (not factored): 6 or higher
Ethan (3+ years)
- Av PCS at NextGen : ~5.8 in SP, ~5.35 in FS
- SP jumps at NextGen : 3Lo w/ –GOE √? no 3-3 X
- FS jumps at NextGen : no 3-3 X no 3Lo X
- Spins & steps at NextGen : steps +GOE √ 5/6 spins +GOE
Missed most of the criteria at NextGen. At the Novice Trophy, he had a 3T-3T with –GOE in the SP, and had a clean 3Lo in the FS. He had the 3T-3T clean at multiple other domestic events.
Jeffrey (?)
- Av PCS at NextGen : ~5.85 in SP, ~5.5 in SP
- SP jumps at NextGen : 3Lz-3T √ 3Lo √
- FS jumps at NextGen : 3T-3T √ attempted 5 different triples, 3Lz was a fall, 3S<
- Spins & steps at NextGen : steps +GOE √ 3/6 spins +GOE X
Hit several of the criteria in at Next Gen. Missed the spins, PCS and maybe the 5 different triples (assuming they need to be rotated). He had rotated 3S at domestic events last season.
