Yes Lia is amazing and Victoria skated also very well. However, let's keep in mind that the best junior eligible men are already all skating in senior.Pretty outstanding when you realize that our Jr Lady Champ outscored the Jr Men. And in fact the 2nd place lady would have medaled in the Jr men's event.
Sandrine turns 17 in December 2026 and Lulu will turn 17 in January 2027. Hetty, Megan and Minsol will be eligible next season, along with ReeseI am not 100% sure of ages or whether they want to move to senior (if 17) (Sandrine, Hetty, Lulu, Megan and of course Minsol when she gets released). But let's see how the weekend goes. I am so excited!
Ted is being unfair considering that most our top junior eligible men are all skating seniors. That's strange he wouldn't emphasize on this considering he should know as these senior-juniors all skated in JGP which he does cover. Really strange.Totally agree with you @saine. At their age, bodies change so fast and that and nagging injuries - even small ones, can mess up timing. I am sure a few of those boys are working hard on the triple axel and next year we will see some impressive skates. Travis, Ethan, James Cha will continue to improve and impress. Jonathan Morovec was doing better pre-Challenge. I hope he can return to form. Parker is impressive but he needs a triple axel to be a senior. Similar to David S.
I cringed at how many times Ted appeared to apologize / make excuses to Mark for the skating of our Junior men though. I look forward to the day when there is no need for that.
He did. I remember that too!One name not mentioned enough is Liam Schmidt, the only junior who did attempt a triple axel. He has beautiful posture and a great lift on some of his jumps, most noticeably the triple lutz. He is coming back slowly from injury and I look forward to seeing him develop. He's a nice kid with huge potential.
Ted is also being unfair because Mark is quite used to the standard here in the UK and - even without those who have opted to compete as seniors domestically - your junior men are ahead of ours.Ted is being unfair considering that most our top junior eligible men are all skating seniors. Calissa should also be eligible next year as well. I believe she is the same age as Reese and Megan.Sandrine turns 17 in December 2026 and Lulu will turn 17 in January 2027. Hetty, Megan and Minsol will be eligible next season, along with Reese![]()
I only have one device, a MacBook, to watch anything. I'm having that same problem of skaters being muddy smears every few seconds. If they're going to put all the upcoming competitions on that, I'll end up watching only pairs and not being able to enjoy even that very much. Can I make a little complaint about the competition being streamed using DailyMotion? Sometimes it works well, at other times, slow and glitchy- can’t watch it. This is my experience on large screen tv. On my iPad or desktop computer, I have a better experience. I would to know what the issue is because watching on the larger screen is almost like being there in-person.
I haven't had any issue watching on my macbook

I know it’s not a bandwidth problem. I think it’s a DailyMotion problem (for me, anyway). And it’s nothing new… I really wish Skate Canada would use YT. I was just curious if anyone else might be suffering with DailyMotion…I watch on my iPad with no issues. Perhaps it’s bandwidth? It’s been really good for me unlike the Ontario paid stream.
I have very good Internet...maybe that's the issue
