1st stage of Belarusian Open Cup
21-24 August 2025, Malinovka Arena

Categories: junior and senior
Disciplines: singles, ice dance, synchronized skating
The Belarusian Open Cup consists of three stages and determines participants for the national championships. Invited athletes from other countries are also allowed to compete for medals.

All Belarusian skaters who will compete for an Olympic spot in a month are taking part in the first stage. There are also several guest skaters from other countries: Kseniya Sinitsyna (RUS), Arina Marinicheva (RUS), Ulyana Vasileva (RUS), Laiya LI & Duomen LI (CHN)

Wow Ulyana and Marinicheva too? Awesome!

I guess since Belarus skating is so niche, we will just use this thread to comment on all the events.

This tech panel puts EVERYTHING on rewatch.

Safonova seems to be in shape to grab the spot.

Zhenya Puzanov seems to improve PCS-wise. A very stylish SP. The jumps are still incosistent but Milan doesn't seem impossible.

I really like Marinicheva's program. Excited to see it clean in high quality later this season.

Arina has landed a quad (though it's UR). Nationals are going to be a bloodbath.
Marinicheva was the highlight to me this event, both of her programs impressed me! She should definitely be in the mix of 2nd tier contenders for Nats but she will need to stabilize a lot. She is shaky now.

I've added all the info about the event!

Unfortunately, they didn't post any information before the event (it's not even in the calendar on their website), so it was impossible to add it in advance.
