I have just seen a post from Ana. She is going to have a break over the Summer and then explore the possibility of a new partnership

After 6 incredible years together on the ice, mine and Luke’s partnership & journey has come to an end.
In 2020, Luke and I came together with a shared dream of reaching the Olympic Games, taking a leap into a new discipline and building something from the ground up.
Over the years, we’ve achieved more than I ever imagined…Becoming 5x National Champions, competing on the Grand Prix, European and World stages, securing a top five finish at a European Championships, and ultimately achieving our biggest goal… becoming Olympians

To be part of what is now considered the most successful British pair to date is something I will always be incredibly proud of both for.
I have a huge amount of respect and gratitude for everything Luke has given to this partnership. His commitment over the last six years, is something I will be forever grateful for and certainly is a huge reason as to why this partnership flourished.
Of course… being sport and setting high goals for ourselves meant the journey wasn’t always easy, facing many challenges alongside the many highlights, it’s what made our journey as special & meaningful as it was.
As I look ahead, I’ll be taking some time to rest and reset & enjoy some time of the off season..before continuing to pursue my career and exploring the possibility of a new partnership.

Caoilfhionn finished 21st out of 25 in the SP, with a score of 39.20. This meant that she climbed to 22nd position overall, with a score of 62.77.
Lexie finished 25th out of 25 in the SP, with a score of 35.66. This meant that she climbed to 25th position overall, with a score of 54.18.

Caoilfhionn finished the Free Skate 0.65 points behind 20th position, Maria MINASYAN (ARM), and 0.67 points ahead of 22nd position, Elisa GALLUCCIO (ITA). The three of them were the top 3 skaters in a group of 5 skaters covered by 2.11 points, stretching down to Bibian Esther NAVARRO RICALDI (ESP) in 24th position, 1.46 points behind Caoilfhionn.
Overall, Caoilfhionn finished 1.65 points behind 21st position, Anouk de SOETE (BEL), and 0.09 points ahead of 23rd position, Galluccio. The three of them are part of a group of 5 skaters covered by 3.57 points, stretching from Minasyan in 20th position, 1.72 points ahead of Caoilfhionn, down to Navarro Ricaldi in 24th position, 1.85 points behind Caoilfhionn.
Lexie finished the Free Skate 2.08 points behind 24th position, Bibian Esther NAVARRO RICALDI (ESP) and 2.56 points behind 23rd position, Anouk de SOETE (BEL).
Overall, Lexie finished 6.74 points behind 24th position, Navarro Ricaldi, and 1.76 points behind 23rd position, Galluccio.
This was the first time that Lexie and Caoilfhionn competed against each other. And it was the first time I saw either of them within a competition (as opposed to just individual videos). And I have to say, both of them impressed me.
I may be wrong, but I think Caoilfhionn might be age eligible for Juniors next season. For so long I have been looking forward to her making her Junior GP debut, because I was looking forward to hearing how Ted coped with her name. But now I am actually looking forward to her making her Junior GP debut because I like her skating.
And it may be further in the future because she is younger, but I am looking forward to Lexie making her Junior GP debut as well. Because I like her skating as well.
I hope this is the start of us seeing both of them more often.

I wonder if Ed Appleby might consider a switch to pairs? I really like Ed's skating and it would be a shame to lose him from singles but ....
I had actually had the same thought. Ed has struggled with the technical demands of men's singles the past couple of seasons (I know that there have been injury issues). He would need to regain the tech mins for Worlds, as the ones he has been using will be too old for next season. He will still have the Euros minimums, but Lucas Fitterer has those as well. Arin Yorke is aging out of juniors and he should be able to get the Euros minimums without too much difficulty. Arin's best combined TES from last season is 97.07 (which is from juniors and can't be used, but is without a FP step sequence), whereas Ed's is 92.35. Based on last season, it looks like Arin has the better chance of getting the TES for senior Worlds. The step sequence should add around 4 points, so he would just need to find around 7 points across the other elements. Ed needs to find 15 points.

I've been very busy lately (hey, apart from the Pairs, I haven't even watched the Frees from Senior Worlds yet!
), so haven't been keeping up with the gossip.I have now started updating Fan Fests, which is getting me back in the loop. But I've got two more to do before I get to Aleksandra's.
Well, Aleksandra would certainly fill the void that we currently have in Senior Ladies. But, she's already at the age that Ladies Singles skaters tend to retire at, so I can't imagine that she will continue on for too many more years (maybe one more quad). Especially now that she is married and is coaching. So, it will not be a long time solution to our problems.
But, I look forward to continuing to cheer her on. Aleksandra has always been a skater that I have connected with, so I am glad she is continuing.
Now what to do with that Lithuanian flag that I bought especially to show my support for her...
