You realize there are more components than one?How dare them give credit for the very foundation of skating. Scandalous!
No, Shun is a lock for sure.Aww Ilia's such a good egg.
And wow, Nathan still holds the World Record total score! That's pretty epic.
Oh and congratulations Shun! He's surely achieved his goal to go to the Olympics right? Or does it depend on the Japanese Nationals?
And kudos to Yuma!
Disagree.Yuma's the best performer
Even if it were true, it'd be one component in total.with the most complex programs.
Of course his skating skills affect the perception of everything else. That's how skating works! If you have skating skills your choreo will stand out more and you'll get more flow out of your jumps. I'm not even a skater and I know that. He also works with Lori Nichol and has the most complex programs. Cheer for your fave without discrediting others. You realize there are more components than one?
My point there is that Kagiyama's skating skill is affecting the perception of his performance as well as choreography as well his jumps, because people seem to be only caring about how he flows out of them.
So nice to know Nathan isn't completely forgotten. I talked to a coworker who saw Ilia and asked her if she remembered Nathan and Yuzu at the last Olympics that I knew she watched and she gave me a blank look like who? That made me sad.Aww Ilia's such a good egg.

It *shouldn't*, at the minimum, affect the perception of flawed jumps. Not one bit.Of course his skating skills affect the perception of everything else. That's how skating works!
I can tell.I'm not even a skater
I'd say the judges are discrediting the efforts of the skaters who learn how to take off on their toe jumps properly, but that's me.Cheer for your fave without discrediting others.
Makes me wonder which past skater(s) your coworker remembers, if anyI talked to a coworker who saw Ilia and asked her if she remembered Nathan and Yuzu at the last Olympics that I knew she watched and she gave me a blank look like who? That made me sad.
Ilya's overscored but more accurate PCS wouldn't matter because he's probably going to win anyway and when he messes up they lower his PCS. Adam and IMHO Kao Miura are fast. So, they get higher PCS but I find them both to have empty programs and to be messy and frightening to watch. OTHO Shun has complex choreo and delivers his choreo well. His SS are good but he isn't an extroverted performer and he isn't as fast. So, they give him unfairly low PCS sometimes. He really needs to sell himself more...I’m just happy they didn’t give Adam better PCS than Shun. He’s (Adam) sloppy as heck and his PCS confuddles me for all the whining about Ilia’s.
Here:Yeah, they pushed him ahead of Sato. Again. Japan.
and SB to bootYuma got 194 for that???
