2025 Canadian Nationals: General Info and pre-game chat

I wasn't planning on watching the Junior events live due to being in the office, but I caught something that's going around the office so I'm working from home.
I hope you feel better soon!

To watch this on the Roku TV you go to the CBC Gem app and register then you go to live section then go to bottom section where it says Sports then you click on the sports icon

For Samsung TV you use the Google function.

The Third Way is to scan it use the scan button from your smartphone to your TV.

Is this for Canada only?

A new article on Deanna and Max that talks about his recent illness, how her Canadian citizenship has boosted her confidence and how their training has been going.

Article on David Howes from the Winnipeg Free Press, it requires an email to read for free. He's intending on competing Senior next season - https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/b...mbles-at-canadian-figure-skating-championship

It does have this information on the championship assignments: The Canadian championships continue through Sunday. Skate Canada will announce its world junior, senior and Four Continents championship teams on Monday.

This article also says that they won't pick the men's entrant until after 4CCs.

It also notes that Edrian Paul Celestino is going to retire after Canadian Nationals.

Yes... it happened last year too... they tend to do this when the field is tight and weak.

Called it about Edrian. He wanted to skate home... and since Montreal worlds didn't work out, it made sense for him to switch to Canada and skate at Nationals, in Montreal ( Laval). I hope he has a good set of skates.

Article in French about both Quebec teams skating at Nationals

SD/D : they have removed the throw triple lutz as they didn't like how it worked in the LP

L/É : they are really excited to skate at home in front of family and friends. They have worked a lot to improve their programs and are excited to show them at home. Finally, they are starting to believe that it may be possible for them to make it to the Olympics, considering Canada has good chances of qualifying three teams.

(I am not sure if they will considering that Bombardier Mimar are improving so fast... BUT... at this point, they are obviously Canada's number 3)

That Figure Skating Show previews Nationals.

They confirm that Maddie did change her free skate. Not Summertime like I thought (she wore her second costume from it during the Skate Ontario simulation). It's Butterfly Lovers per Asher Hill.

I just woke up... as soon as my alarm rang, I jumped up... as if i were a kid the morning of Xmas LOL :) i am getting ready to head to Place Bell. I checked and it will take me 28 minutes from my condo to there by subway... including the time needed to get to the subway :) woot ... so close :)

I am attending juniors this morning and of course later on, the whole senior events. I will be skipping practices though. It's enough with all the competitions... I gotta pace myself :)

I am so excited. I don't promise I will write a lot during the event but will certainly come back with from the rink thoughts later on.

Just got there..it is dance practice. Everyone looks fabulous especially both Pauls. It is not the same rink as skate Canada... A much smaller space so all tickets will be good. Trying something different this morning as it is general admission. Piper and Paul are wearing the pink and yellow outfit. They look fab

Judges have sat down. Zamboni is leaving the ice. I'm thrilled. Flashbacks from worlds. I think I will love the venue . It is so small that everyone is super friendly. No wonder it is sold out. Gosh I had missed skating... I didn't go to cqe this summer and we'll, there were no aci this year. It is startinggggg
