2025 CS Cranberry Cup International: General Info and Pregame Chat

Is Argentina one of the countries for which the USA has banned the issue of visas?
Is Uruguay the country banned because their "new" passport isn't compliant with ICE , Japanese, German and French customs and migrations authorities requirements

I find these events where National Events and International Events are running concurrently at the same venue very confusing.

Same here. Especially when they have competitions on two rinks at the same time, like in Lake Placid last week. (I hope that's not happening here too!)

As for here on the forum, personally I find it is a lot easier when everything to do with all the parts of an event is in the same sub-forum. Like with Lake Placid last week. It gets confusing when it is spread across different sub-fora, and you have to keep jumping back and forth.

But, at the same time, I can understand the logic in having the domestic part of the event in a sub-forum for domestic events rather than in a sub-forum for international events.

Which approach you see as being the right one to take is all down to how you think and personal preference. So, I am glad I am not the one having to make the decision! :)

Have the entries come out for Novice?
I’m hoping to see Lia there 🤞
Lia won Advanced Novice last year, don't think she will repeat the same category this year. Skate Canada may rather give other girls some international experience than have Lia win another gold medal in a category that doesn't challenge her

Lia is also on the entry list for Novice 🫣

Advanced Novice Girls
Lia Cho

I wonder which one she will do or if she does both…. 🤔

I’m thinking Novice…..

With the Advanced Novice and Junior international entries at Cranberry Cup (and Senior when it isn't a Challenger), it isn't so much Skate Canada assigning them. From my understanding, it's Skate Canada giving them permission to compete there. It's why on the assignments page, only Sadovsky and Gogolev are listed. This doesn't apply to the domestic entries in Cranberry Open.

Lia being entered here means that Lia wanted to compete Advanced Novice. It should be more challenging for her this year, Skylar Lautowa-Peguero is entered here too.

Ooh!! A Skylar and Lia showdown!!
I’m glad Lia is finally going to be pushed in a competition.
Skylar is USA’s best Novice girl 👏

The USFS YouTube is still showing the following links. These juniors are the ones listed on the Results link, not the NQS Juniors.

I would hope these are real since there are some very good juniors competing here. The times do match the results page schedule, so :pray:

Junior Men SP, airing at August 8th at 8:00 p.m.

Junior Men FS, airing at August 9th at 8:00 p.m.

Junior Women SP, airing August 8 at 4:00 p.m.

Junior Women FS, airing August 9 at 3:30 pm - this is the right time?

@dorispulaski are the times you have given Boston time? I've been caught out before when I expected times to be local ones for where the competition was being held and they turned out to be using a different zone for the official times.

The times are always the times from the ISU or USFSA Detailed Results File, and those are always the time at the venue, in this case Massachusetts.

A handy page to find times and dates in other places is:

You can delete one City and add a place you are interested in.
