Re: Chock/Bates crazy costume. An ice dancer once told me that the male portrays the matador, and the female portrays his cape. It looks to me like she's wearing a cape (and underwear?). Maybe she IS the cape, but a bit too literally. Does he wrap those bedazzled shouder (chest?) straps over his padded deltoids and head to the fighting arena? It still doesn't make sense why his costume is so plain. I don't always watch dance, but I'll have to see how this program works.

Oh, gotcha. I thought that was just a guess. Now I see there was an article or interview about it. So she's a matador wearing a cape and underwear. Art.

I'm fine with Chris' commentating with his positive vibe and his info on skaters and elements. It's hard to commentate on your own for sure. With an expert by your side you can interact and the talk becomes more interesting.

I think he would be good for golf commentary or turtle races.

Haha golf doesn't need him. Golf has money and top notch commentators and experts with pople doing interesting interviews down the course along with competitions.

I finally watched the Women's SP after reading through the posts in this general thread. I couldn't forget the post above and I laughed through clenched teeth every time they showed the Kiss and Cry with the logo in the middle of the screen and usually over the recent skater's face. I did manage to see a dolphin a couple of times so that helped. I also appreciated that Hana had a costume with a color that was close to matching the background color of the logo.
