The lace is so distasteful that I wonder if there will be a judge who will try to give them costume violation. The rest of hers is just awkward and he is just generic. Kind of disappointment.

Looking at the twitter reply looks like I'm not the only one lol.I do like the long skirt though, but that's the only good part of the costume. The top looks awkward, probably would've been better if the nude mesh is white or red instead.

Yup, the skirt is very fine and should be stunning in the move but the rest is too distracting, not only the lace, shoulder paddings too. This amazes me, she can do really good work for others but when she designs for herself, it looks like she is losing perspective and her taste drops.I agree that the lace placement on her crotch area is just.... unfortunate

She is, as many other artists, including Bjork, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, some content of Madonna, Jay-Z, Coldplay and even Back Street Boys. Many things are "banned" in China, even Winnie the Poo and Peppa Pig. But it's certainly not a reason why foreign skater would change a program for ISU competition held in China. Even Chinese skaters use music of those artists without any problems. Chinese junior ice dancers use exactly the same Gaga's song as Alysa. No problem. Yi Zhu last season had Lady Gaga free skate. The ban means that those artists cannot tour in China and face some strickter cenzorship at chinese platforms and that's it. The OP of the speculation post about Alysa's program change said it clearly that she just shared a random assumption and by any way it comes from any other source than her head. She was very shocked how the rumour exploded. Imo this assumption was rather ignorant and certainly lacked understanding how cenzorship mechanisms in China work.
Ending the thread, here comes China's very own Boyang Jin with his beloved (banned) Peppa Pig.

I disagree with this. In my opinion, most of her costumes have been great. The difference is, she can do something modern and comparatively minimalistic for others, but for herself she does richer, more elaborate looks with more details, sometimes with more crystals, some kind of embroidery etc. If you like only "tasteful" clean looks, I can see why you would think Madison's costumes are too much, too opulent etc. But that's what I like about her costumes - nowadays, we can see plenty of modern and minimalistic looking dresses with little to no crystals, often from ombre fabrics and just as often only in one colour on ice dancers, and such elaborate, glamorous and rich looking costumes as Madison's have become a rarity.
Now, this one is probably really too much, but still looks interesting. The lace looks just like panties. We'll have to see how it looks in movement.

I like Madison's Matador costume for the most part, but the styling of the shoulder padding going all the way down past her rib area just looks awkward to me. I think that the padding should have stopped at her shoulders like a regular matador costume, with some other tasteful design down the front. That being said, the costume effect overall is rather stunning.
As to Alysa's FS, GK8 has already reported that Alysa is using MacArthur Park again for her FS at COC, but she is still working on her Lady GaGa FS. Fine-tuning it I suppose, especially with all of her boot issues that hampered her in competition last month, and disrupted her optimum training.

To add more, it pushed "see faces in things" button in me.
Now, I can't help seeing panties with two eyes and a mouth.
It could be because of the logo discussion earlier on the thread though. I am team "river dolphin" by the way.
