Well.. Ted tried to say her name. Oh man, skating in tribute of her friend got me right in the feels. Beautiful skate for Sofia. I was really hoping she would do this well since shes so good domestically. Lovely way to end the short program. Also lovely first jgp for her.

Great JGP debut. It's really tough for all of the East Coast skaters, who were all very affected by the crash.

I wonder why so many musicians think doing a cover of a successful song would be easier. It is actually more difficult, the far majority of attempts are just utter failures, like this one. Judy Garland turns in her grave.

Great skate from Sofia. She has a lower tech score than Sophie von Felten, but will have higher PCS. I hadn't expected her to be quite so good.

Crying again. Sofia skated her heart out. She was entirely in that performance, from start to finish. She is a beautiful spinner. Did she skate this at the memorial event? I feel I have seen this particular programme before.

It's going to be difficult this year with the skaters - quite understandably and especially the younger ones - who are doing programs in commemoration, because I at least feel almost guilty criticising. Problem is, both Sophie and Sofia, I found their music absolutely awful, even when I could see how much genuine emotion they were skating with, even though they did so well.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable womens short!! There were so many well done programs. Onto the pairs and mens.

That was a very emotional programme to finish with. Even if you didn't already know the story behind it, you would be able to tell that it had special meaning to Sofia.
