This music will always remind me of Marga Kolosov's iconic hoop routine. Might have to go back and watch that when I have time.

Latifakhon did really well with it too, though. Jumps were super solid, spins need a little work, but overall, a promising skater having a good skate.

A very fun skate from Latifakhon. What a cool costume, love all the details. She is quick across the ice, good jumps. Another with the falling leaf exit from the axel. A lot of spring in her entry of the flying sit spin. Very much enjoyed that performance!

My tilted frangipani fell yesterday... Too windy... and it's grown so tall that the pot is no longer heavy enough to keep it from falling... so until I get him a bigger, sturdier pot, I had to attach it.

Or in figure skating world : Frangipani is doing some harness jumping to fix his off-axis jumps

Me: don't adopt any more skaters from Central Asia. It is too hard to find out results and other information for them.

Me after watching Latifakhon SHOISAEVA (UZB) there now: I so want to adopt her!



I absolutely loved everything about that!!!

It is great when you see a skater that has clearly put so much effort into getting everything so on-theme.

She looks so happy waiting for her scores.

Oh, I hope she scores well.

She goes into 9th position.

She looked puzzled at first, but then this big massive smile appeared.

I think back over some of the things I have researched for countries and cultures not my own, and I feel your pain.

Klara looks happy with that! Off to a bold start, engaging with the audience, using her head and shoulders well. Nice axel, love that leap after her camel spin. Twizzles after the 2Lo, without needing to put her free foot down to push to regain speed. Much to like about her skate!

Repotting will be a job.. Is it on a rolling platform?

A good JGP debut for Ariadna. I like the roses at her waist, just a little touch of colour. Unfortunate loss of the combo, with the step out. Dramatic lunge in her 2A entry. An unusual jump exit from her twizzles. I like the timing of the flying sit spin to the music.
