I wouldn't say they are so much on their knees, just in choreo elements (where skating stopped counting long ago). As for the song, singer aside (personal preference), it's so so beautiful lyrically. If people research the translation for it... honestly, it's so fitting for a final season. I see the vision.well.. I don't like the singer's voice but this is a song.with highs and lows.
talking about lows... no idea why Marco and Charlène spend so much time on their knees when they have such good skating.

I live in Scotland - Burns’ words may have had a different meaning back then but it is definitely used in contemporary Scotland as a song about remembering old times but also meeting again. It’s quite commonly used as the last song at weddings and it’s THE Scottish song used to ring in in new year. So to old times and new times as such.

The Shibs using Coldplay for the billionth time is such an epic let down, I couldn't even watch it.
I was buying what Green and Parsons were selling. Loved the concept, the choreography and the costumes. Looking forward to seeing their FS in person at nationals.

I’m trying to figure if G/F still have a chance to make it?
The French will likely have 2 golds.
Chock Bates likely 2 golds
Brits Gold and silver
Psquared likely Gold and Silver
Lithuanians Silver and Bronze
That leaves Lala who have Bronze and could potentially get a silver or bronze or even 4th place at Skate America.
Z/K have a Silver but are mostly likely to be at highest Bronze at Finlandia
CPom 4th at SC but could be anywhere from Silver to 4th at SKAM.
Smart Diaz 4th in their 1st GP could also be anywhere from 2nd to 4th at Finlandia.
So I guess there is still potential for G/F to get in depending on how any of these teams place given they have a Silver and 4th place…

It's not impossible but it will be tough I think that ZK, LaLa and the French are most likely to qualify than any team with a 4th place.

If the winners so far perform as expected in the remaining events, we could easily have a nice three-way battle between three teams with 13-11 for the last two places. Reed / Ambrulevicius, Zingas / Kolesnik, one of Lajoie / Lagha and Lopareva / Brissaud.

Disagree. I think it is more of a parallel type of dance than a "melting into one". I have never been a big fan of Lilah and Lewis but I think they capture the playfulness and receptive nature of this ethnic composition.
Happy to see Green and Parsons on the podium. I hand it to them to have rebounded after Cup of China. Although I do not love the music, their FD is technically strong and interpreted well. It was odd that Michael had such strong edges in the RD but fell short in the FD. That socre of 112 could have been closer to 120 if they clean up those technical glitches. Looking forward to them getting strong and consistent for Nationals and making the Oly team.

Gosh I love Green/Parsons' free dance. Perhaps my fav this season. Beautiful and unique. The lifts are amazing. So glad they medaled. Hopefully they can improve the levels and take it to the next level.

It's kind of strange that it is ID where the returning famous team was judged without any handouts. Maybe because States has so many great dance teams. I actually didn't mind that program for Shibutani's at all and if they are okay building up to modern level of dancing I am all in favor, but shouldn't they have considered skating for Japan since they had a giant break and federation wouldn't probably minded to transfer them out?
