Judging by the reaction in the arena every time her name was mentioned, I take it Jessica WORTH (GBR) is a local skater.
She is waering a beautiful pale blue dress.
I wonder if she wants to be a French Ice Dancer. Because that was what her programme made me think of.
It had a bit of everything in there. And not necessarily things you would even think of putting together.
What a load of fun that was!
She seems very happy.

Alayna COATS (USA), skating to music from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
Haven't seen the film, but I was getting a definite Chinese feel from it. So I wasn't surprised when I checked what the music was.
Not fussed on the dress. But I liked everything else.

Warming up to "Single Ladies" by Beyonce!
Oh, if only she had switched those two words around. Then it would have been spot on!
And now "When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going" by Billy Ocean.
These two songs are so appropriate for playing together going into the final group of a Ladies FS.

Nah, I was mistaken. Darja TRUBITSON (FIN) doesn't want to switch to Canada after all. If she did, she would have followed yesterday's Céline Dion up with Michael Bublé today.
Instead, she was skating to "The Hanging Tree".
I can't make up my mind about her dress. Most of it is black, but the skirt part of it looks like it is on fire. And I am not sure if it works.
But I did like the skating. Such a pity about the fall.

Oh, music problems for the second Finn, Venla SINISALO. It started playing, and she started skating, and then it stopped playing all of a sudden.
Then they tried again, and the same happened again.
I hope she has a backup copy, because it seems there is a problem with the copy they have.

Right, Venla SINISALO (FIN) has been introduced again. And they are starting from the start.
We have another skater that wants to be a French Ice Dancer! And this was an even more convincing audition for the role!
I really loved the futuristic part at the start. But then it all went a little strange.
For those of you that have heard tell of the drumming group Stomp, there was a section that sounded like them.
It was so strange. And so fun.

I'm scared. I getting tempted to adopt an American skater.
That is two programmes I really enjoyed from Rachel SAMIRI (USA).
She was wearing a beautiful black and gold dress, with black tights. And the music was beautiful.
Unfortunately, there were issues with the skating. She had a couple of falls, as well as some other issues..
But when she gets everything clean, this is going to be such an impressive programme
She goes into 2nd position overall.

As if we didn't hear enough "Ra-Ra-Rasputin" in Ice Dance last season! Now we're getting it for the Group 1 Warm-Up in Ladies!

And now we have "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper.
Now that is more like it for a Ladies Singles competition!
I hope they do!
And here is the first girl, Saskia ZAINCHKOVSKAYA (GBR).

Saskia ZAINCHKOVSKAYA (GBR) kicked things off for us.
She was wearing a dress of two different shades of light blue. To be honest, I preferred the darker shade of the two. The paler one was too wishy-washy.
I really loved the music. But, unfortunately, there were issues with the skating. Not least two falls on conseccutive jumps.
Once it is done clean, this will be an impressive programme.

Really dramatic music for Genevieve SOMERVILLE (GBR).
And the dress she was wearing tied in well with it.
That was a good skate. I enjoyed that.
She had a couple of points advantage over Saskia, so Genevieve will stay ahead of her. But, with Nina's withdrawal and Emma only being 1.71 points ahead of her, she could climb very quickly.
She goes into the lead.

But that's what a Beth Hart programme can do for you!
Don't like her dress. (That's both of her dresses I don't like!)

Oh, Victoria ALCANTARA (AUS)! You have put me in an awkward position!
Everybody on her knows by now that I love Middle Eastern music. So, it is no surprise that I instantly loved this programme.
But, Victoria is the bottom skater in a very tight group of 3 skaters headed by my kid Marilena. So, this could pose a threat to my kid.
However, Victoria had a lot of issues. Including 3 falls.
This was not her day. But when she does it clean, it will be so impressive
She goes into 3rd position.

All three of my kids in the Top 5 going into the FS.
In terms of the competition, this is the dream scenario.
In terms of the Warm-Up, it is a nightmare. Because I can't keep track of 3 skaters!

I hope there is an angel looking after all of my girls!
And a few seconds of "As Long as You Love Me" by the Backstreet Boys at the very end of the Warm-Up.

Erm, I wonder if a new song starting to play at the very end of the Warm-Up has messed things up. Because Alex EVANS (USA)'s music doesn't seem to want to play now!

Oh, it's taking a very long time to sort it out. At this rate of going, she will have effectively done two full Warm-Ups!
