The same was done to Denney/Frazier when they were sent to the 2017 World Championships as US Champions, but had a disastrous SP skate placing 20th and failed to advance to the FS at Worlds. They paid dearly at the next year’s Nationals and were never sent to Worlds again.

Edit to add: I also saw Earth Wind and Fire in concert, and I mourn for young people, for their lives will never be as good as they could be, because they'll never have the chance to see this group in their prime.

It's puzzling seeing Emily and Ian's scores, after hearing a stellar, Olympic silver ice dancer, Ben Agosto, rave and rave about them! Maybe they are "skaters' skaters."

Emily and Ian are some of my favorites, but it's because of their first-year together program to Good-bye Yellow Brick Road. Nothing else comes to that level for me. Not even a Brick House. LOL. But I know ... it's me, not them or their skating.

I'm the same with Oona and Gage. I was introduced to them with "Nothing Else Matters." And Nothing Else Compares or comes close! It's just me.
