Hmmm, Alicia got a hot partner, good for her. The chemistry looks good.
Lilak also look nice together, loved their classy waltz. I had a feeling she was struggling a bit to keep up with Zak's speed.
All of them looked very invested, hopefully they can stay like this when honeymoon is over.

I was very impressed with Alicia and Marco's debut. They seemed to have good speed (at least on tv) and a strong connection. Hannah and Zak were what I expected...such great lines. They will surely make a strong international debut next season! And I felt that Layla and Alexander made a strong statement in their senior debut. The music was different from the others and their styling seemed quite different from their junior years...likely intentionally. I thought that Adrian and Madison's influence was evident in this program.

I have to say I have been enjoying what I have seen of the pairs so far! I like the decision to put the technical score box for each element at the upper left corner of the stream. I just saw Ranzi/Legault and I really appreciated their decision to use some different cuts of Michael Jackson music, particularly Beat It!

Dion/Cote had some really nice musicality at the beginning of their program! I also appreciate their decision to use Coldplay's "Clocks," it's a good piece to skate to and I don't know why teams don't use it more often!

No they don't. What they do need is a minimum TES in the free skate for Challenge. They've published the 2026-27 scores, it's a bit different this season with the free skate rule changes. Scores achieved in 2026-27 went down for everyone except Senior Men.

however... I am not sure why the need to switch countries when both skaters are Canadian.. Sure Laliberté-Laurent does have dual citizenship and it made sense if he were to skate with a French skater which is what I thought would happen... but now ?
