Kind of disappointing. And it is a Challenger,so I am a bit surprised.Yeah the field is not very impressive in seniors this year
Not sure if they could get visa in such a short time and also possibly seniors are waiting for the AIN status approval/denial.I was also wondering about the absence of AIN athletes. Thought they'd take every chance to get high on the replacement lists.
The insider scoop is that Russian senior participation will start with Kinoshita Cup (and the 3 challengers that follow it) where it is easy to obtain a visa, travel is easier and the AIN statuses is anticipated to be confirmed.I was also wondering about the absence of AIN athletes. Thought they'd take every chance to get high on the replacement lists.
thanks !Just to save anyone clicks:
I also have to say the senior men are not the same as the senior men we have seen in the past.
On the plus side, Canadians.![]()
Signing the AIN form is enough to entry. They don't need to wait. Not sure if they could get visa in such a short time and also possibly seniors are waiting for the AIN status approval/denial.
ETA: Entries had to be submitted by Jul 17th, I don't think seniors were officially approved by then, they are probably not rn yet.
Darn it. I was looking forward to seeing the Kim twins!Saw on the website where it says no live stream for this event, dang I guess last year was a one off
