I would imagine that if Sui is still injured they would not subject her to skating in the team event but save her for the pairs competition. That would be the smart thing to do.

China is limited to one pair at the OWG, correct?

So if they're to participate, then S/H will have to skate in the team event. There's no other option available to Team China.

Of course, given the unlikelihood of a China medal, I suppose they could just decline to skate them and accept the zero points for the pairs SP segment.

Oops- should have checked that out before I posted. Thanks Tonto. Well all we can hope is that whatever her issue is she can get it resolved in the next couple of weeks. Your last comment seems like a likely scenario if it comes to that.

Yuna Aoki had the best performance of the season for me. Unless Sakamoto has a perfect skate at the Olympics, I think there's hardly anything that could top this performance for me. That was beautiful figure skating, great musicality and superb interpretation of the music. On top of that very impressive jumps as well!
